Cheers! This is a real thing and it applies to pretty much any bottle. Always keep them away from sunlight or places where the temperatures might fluctuate upwards. It'll ruin the bottle. Especially if it's been opened. Also funny to go into a shop and notice the "behind the counter" stuff up on the shelf thats directly in line of the windows. Happens quite a bit. Last thing you wanna do is buy a good bottle thats been skunked by an ignorant store owner. https://www.breakingbourbon.com/article/bourbon-storage-experiment-24-month-tasting-results Edited April 11 by Gregmal

Luckily it was about half finished when I noticed. Flavor didn't change, but half of the beauty of the Empress gin is the amazing color you get in your cocktails! Cheers!
LC Posted April 11 Posted April 11 @John Hjorth John, be sure to pick up a bottle of Monkey 47 if they have it - another great bottle if you like gin!

whatstheofficerproblem Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Any recommendations for local brews in Bozeman? Going to be visiting Yellowstone end of May.

Santayana Posted April 21 Posted April 21 @Parsad I highly recommend Sheringham Gin made a few miles outside of Victoria.

Similar to Empress, but not quite as clean. I'm partial to Empress and Hendricks. Those two are my go to bottles! Cheers!
Gregmal Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Reliable source came thru. Bottled days before the Ukraine War started!
whatstheofficerproblem Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Friday was IPA day. Saturday I finished my golden drops of the Ardbeg 25 as a cheers to California. Today's day drinking session is a 6 pack Guinness extra stout. This is my second time drinking Guinness & I just don't get it. Why do you want to taste burnt barley? This thing tastes like black coffee i.e. battery acid. That said the extra stout is better at giving you a buzz vs draught. You folks have convinced me to get the Empress Gin. I will be setting up a bar in my studio in NY. Going to make my own mixers from scratch and will post recipes here from time to time if they're good. Have a first class one way ticket booked to NY on the 31st. Going there tail end of summer and if I can survive Iowa & Somaliland winters, I'll be just fine in NY.

I don't care for extra stout but I love Guiness draught. But I also drink black coffee every day of my life.

Guinness overall sucks. Coffee every day is fine. Hell I drink it 3x a day. Thing is I don't drink "black coffee" which is literally just battery acid. I need dairy in my coffee.
Gregmal Posted 46 minutes ago Posted 46 minutes ago Hah yea I’ve long held the opinion that there’s little better beer wise than one Guinness, and there little worse than two. Its not a beer you wanna binge. That said it’s been too long but by car bombs are unrivaled.
