"We" think the use of collective pronouns to describe a single persons thoughts on a topic to add some sort of air of superiority actually hurts "our" investment thesis.

 

Perhaps "they" are just out to get "us" and "our" genius ideas, and that is why "our" stock picks aren't going up.

Usually the author is at the same time also the founder, chief investment officer of blabla global capital that is managing his own lunch money...

I see it a lot. Most professional documentation is worked on by a team (or multiple teams) of people.

 

But yeah it’s super obnoxious when some dude writing from his couch does it.

Whenever I see this I just assume the author is a member of a royal family.

So do I.
