And you sound like Putin lol.
-
Yeh Putin doesn’t, but instead you post pictures of people being drafted in Ukraine, not the Russian men used as cannon fodder. Yeh the draft sucks but Western countries have had the draft many times. Nobody in Europe wants to fight, Ukraine aren’t asking for Europeans to fight (yet), they are asking for military aid. If the Europeans providing military aid is barking, then the Americans providing no aid is what animal sound?
-
Now do Russia. Oh that’s right, you don’t.
-
thanks

Fair enough. I think the tariffs should be used in certain circumstances, and particularly against a certain country that also begins with C, but that country isn’t Canada.
-
What kind of % are you adding and how many adds until you have a position you are comfortable with?
-
Trump set himself up to fail on a lot of these by saying a lot of wild stuff. You used to rip Powell and his handling of the economy, but it’s tumbleweeds with Trump’s tariffs. These things unfortunately work both ways.

American companies that will benefit from tariffs?

China has been engaged in some of the most unfair and discriminatory trade practices of any country in history over the last half century. From massive currency manipulation operated via a peg to the dollar, state run enterprises, dumping excess products such as steel into markets to wreck competitors, theft of IP, all while restricting access of their markets to western countries. Yet you want to ignore those obvious disparities so you can meme? -
My portfolio has been blasted these last couple of weeks. Some stocks down 25%. Luckily I was sitting in a lot of crash but still, it hurts.

You’re arguing parts of my comments which aren’t there. There is no implied argument in my post that the cultists differ between Dems and GOP. For the purposes of this conversation I don’t give a crap how they stack up. I’m not suggesting that the defund the police, gender theory, and much of the other stuff woke stuff is not a cult. It most definitely IS a cult in my view. I’m saying if it wasn’t okay when they did it, why is it ok when Trump does it?

Trump’s untruths are more brash and more frequent than just about any other politician I know. The problem isn’t that HE says things which are untrue, it’s that other people don’t see it, don’t care, or believe it’s true. It’s their sheepish behaviour, either through not questioning, not caring, or their faith based believing that is concerning. Some of them are cultists who don’t know they are. Some of the same people who are quick to call out CNN or Biden’s false claims - totally fairly I might add - are suspiciously quiet which Trump does the same.

This is a control map of Ukraine around the approximate time the Russia - Ukraine talks broke down: Not exactly a the position of strength you claim it was. In terms of waving a magic wand, the only person who thinks they have one is Trump, who had repeatedly said that he would end the war on day 1. He needs to swish that wand harder, we are nearly at 50 days.
-
Notice John how my question about why Trump says untrue things went unanswered. There are no good answers to that question. But to admit so would be to criticise Trump. Regarding the valid points. I’ve been saying this for years as a European. Trump is right, but it was known before Trump too.
-
We will get rid of them eventually. But I think Trump is weak too, just in a different way.
-
Say what you want about Macron and Trudeau, they don’t say things which aren’t true nearly as much as Trump. I hated when CNN and other place slant and distort events, remember the ‘good people’ comment. I just don’t have it in my to kiss the ring and accept that shit just because its someone with my ideological slant doing.
-
Let’s just assume you’re right above. He can do all the above and not say things which are untrue. So why does he do it?
-
Trump again saying US in for 350 billion and Europe a 100 billion. Question for cubs and anyone else, why do you think he keeps saying things that are untrue?
-
The first president to send lethal weapons to Ukraine was Trump. That was then this is now. I think there are a load of possible reasons why changegonnacome could be right.
-
It’s too early to be sure, but directionally I think you are right. I think the amount of self owning here is unlike anything I’ve seen in politics. I don’t understand why the current administration don’t see this, there is a chance Trump and Vance simply don’t get it. There is an alternative explanation, they are trying to induce a major change in their partners by showing them what the world looks like when America reduces from its commitments. Then they mend and strengthen bridges in the last two years… we will see
-
It hasn’t been pulled yet, has it? If they do then yeh.
-
Yeh, it’s pointless and toothless but it plays well.
-
Russia has pretty much adapted to the tariffs, some more is like water off a ducks back.
-
Saw this the other day, you reminded me of it: https://youtube.com/watch?v=CkcsKuMKooo The creators, Led by Donkeys, are from the U.K. and are basically a propaganda arm of the Labour Party (left wing). But they can be funny.
-
Yeh we know where he got that 350 billion from. It’s fake news.

I don’t get some of these comments. NATO has been mutually beneficial for both continents. America has shouldered much of the financial burden for a very long time and it’s right that Europeans pay more now and in the future. But let’s also acknowledge that Europe is paying more to Ukraine than the US, and when the new commitments are included it will be substantially more. American contribution to Europe during world war 2 far exceeds anything Europe committed in the fight against terror - that’s a fact. And yet it is also true that America was forced into that world war 2, whereas European NATO countries entered the Middle East because the US asked it to. But why does this all this matter. It’s not a game of counting deaths. Europe must do more - end of story. And it is.
