Hamas has not returned the hostages, as they require a permanent ceasefire and Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, which Israel rejects. Israel insists on the hostages' immediate release without precondition. Israeli wasn’t even able to keep their word on the temporary ceasefire. These guys are a bunch of thugs who enjoy killing unarmed woman and children, that’s all.

The ICC has issued arrest warrants for the PM and former defence minister accusing them for war crimes and crimes against humanity. This is not a legitimate government that you can negotiate with.
