Yea cereal especially its crazy. A box of General Mills or Post/Kellog cereal, standard size, regular price is now $4-5. Sure, they often have sales, but you compare that to the generic, say Cheerios/Fruity Pebbles/etc store brand, where you get 3-4x as much for the same $5. You dont eat the box, and outside of that there is absolutely zero difference to attribute the value. If the consumer is getting pinched, who in their right mind is buying these?

It’s actually kinda ironic because compared to pretty much everyone I know, I’m pretty easily the most anti 2nd amendment person around. And my thinking is generally pretty straight forward…the simple presence of a firearms greatly increases the odds of having a firearms related event…which is exactly what happened here.

Look, he was clearly dumb for getting all wrapped up in the political rage and active protests(again apparently per his father this had recently become a regular activity of his), but if that’s the bar for getting killed by law enforcement why even have a second amendment? That’s the issue. Can a person carrying via their second amendment rights have an encounter with law enforcement that isn’t a mandatory death sentence? I would like to think so. As for why bring that much ammo….i mean did you see this shithole during the 2020 Summer of Love? Barely discernible from Chicago.

I also think there’s clear secular decline for branded grocery like Kraft/Heinz. These things had their heyday when white label wasn’t really an option or wasn’t nearly as prevalent as it is today. The pricing they demand in many cases is just so excessive compared to store brand that unless someone really just wants to waste money, it’s a dumb purchase. Even during the height of covid inflation, store brand ketchup was like $2 and Heinz was $4 for a smaller bottle…

I mean the second amendment stuff kinda hits a wall here no? If simply “carrying” presents valid grounds for someone shooting you, then is that really a right to carry? Similarly, if “Ashley broke the law” by trespassing, don’t we need to cut this “illegals aren’t criminals” because all they did was trespass, bullshit? Whats unfortunate is that this dudes father even said he recently started getting riled up politically by this and frequently began seeking out these protests…not sure what else there is to do in that crappy city, but pretty sure “go protest” wasn’t the only option.

Sure, but when you’ve been screaming “Nazi” at anyone and anything that you disagree with for the past decade plus, it desensitizes people to the rhetoric. Although it does oddly seem like the party is distancing themselves from African Americans….so now we have what?
