  1. By sourcing a NY Post article, no less. If only Greg hadn't moved from New York we might have been able to ask him what political leaning that newspaper has.....
  2. It tells me everything I need to know. No different than why some kidnapping stories get picked up by the national media and some don't. Sorry if that somehow offends or triggers you.
  3. It is also telling where you cut off my sentence at.
  4. It just so happens I'm in town right now. Do you want me to send you a photo from the train? But since you are making that argument I guess we can disqualify whatever you say about your time in New York since you don't live there anymore.
  5. because this is just a random murder and no one would care if the victim wasn't attractive and is just now getting picked up by the right wing blogs? I lived within walking distance of this station, could see it from my window, and took that train twice a day for years and I never felt unsafe once during that period. The pearl clutching going on now is reprehensible yet is par for the course.
  6. They could always be the seller themselves, would get stuck with a lot of CSX stock they probably wouldn't want though.

  9. The FT's Alphaville with a great article on private equity's insurance business links. I've always thought this was going to blow up in a bad way at some point: https://www.ft.com/content/ee40241a-c568-4673-88df-001c0244fb37
  10. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.
  11. Take what you can’t stand to lose and put it something safe and don’t touch it. Simple enough unless this whole post is some humblebrag exercise.
  12. If you think it was bad in Kyoto now, imagine what it is like during the Sakura. Things were even crazy in Nara when I was there in the middle of January. I don't think I will ever go back to Kyoto at this rate. But good news is the tourist hoards seem to stick to the tried and true Tokyo - Osaka corridor, so if you avoid there you have more of a chance of avoiding fellow gaijin.
  13. https://archive.ph/eITOJ web version
  14. Top of mind as I've just spent the past 11 days cruising the Mediterranean with the largest majority on the boat being obese Americans. Plus I bet a majority of COBFer's haven't got to see how nice your bike lanes are in person.
  15. At least you have nice bike lanes to make up for it and a healthier population as a result
  16. I think the latter necessitates the former
  17. Lighting capital on fire. If a company I own participates in it, I won’t be a shareholder much longer
  18. you know I played goalie in hockey so I know it’s not some OCD tick. I’m guessing you never have, otherwise you’d know the real reason and not just be making stuff up. You give off real mansplaining vibes in your interactions with me, which I find quite strange. not to mention the whole video is supposed to be a joke. Guess you feel the need to defend your hero??
  19. He let Uncle Tony be the bad guy
  20. he should try setting up a charity in a third world country
  21. a bit rich from someone saying there will never be a new build cycle again ever…..
  22. Don't think that will be a problem with Gates given his ties to Epstein and his tales of womanizing, along with the subsequent divorce.
