  1. Haha! - This made my Saturday morning!
  2. Charlie [ @dealraker ], Interesting stuff!, LOL! I'm quite confident you already know [if not 'know', then - at least - 'recognize'] by now that I always appreciate your posts. All of them. It's all about sound reason, combined with rational thinking. - - - o 0 o - - - The real truth is this Friday has become the *sh*ttiest* Friday I've had in several years - Posting about it now would most likely not be as entertaining as posting about it here tomorrow! LOL!
  3. Thank you for posting this, @NnnnotSoSmart, This is, as far as I know, unprecedented, never seen before. I wonder what the Nobel Prize Commitee thinks about this? Urgent crisis commitee meeting? LOL! And how will POTUS react, if he experiences a commitee reaction he does not like? All I know is that here, medals are hung on heroes, and orders are hung on idiots, and needs to be returned at EOL. What about prizes? LOL!
  4. @Spooky, The person claiming so obviously isen't reading global macro data sets, [by region, country] on a regular basis [weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, whatever]. So ... - let it go!
  5. Thank you to all for commentiing and sharing here, especially to @Pellom. It for sure looks like Mr. Spier is closing shop. It's also remarkable, how silent he's been as of lately.
  6. Thank you, @Sweet, That's exactly the point, which is also why it's meaningless. The man is a complete idiot. I simply don't rule out anything from him any longer. I know there are CofB&F members active in this topic arguing that there are also positive economic effects of tariffs. To that I just *shrug* and shake my head, and move on. I suppose they have no formal or real education in macro economics. The man is so dumb that he by this threat activates the whole EU area, not singular, individual, specific countries with new tariffs. It's simply amazing how stupid this is.
  7. Especially for you here SD [ @SharperDingaan ] : https://www.nytimes.com/video/opinion/100000010644425/greenland-denmark-trump-history.html?smid=url-share, also - - - o 0 o - - - Especially note, the books stable on the coffee table to the right of Huxis chair, the book on top is called 'Den store bandebog', which translates from Danish to English by 'The Big Cursing Book'
  8. AP News - Politics [January 16th 2026] : Trump says he may punish countries with tariffs if they don’t back the US controlling Greenland Please take no personal offence here, @Sweet, But I consider your comments a bit naive.
  9. POTUS has just threatened to use the tariff hammer against every country that disagree in his imperal aspirations related to Greenland. He is going rougue totally, he has lost his pacifier somwhere in the Oval Office, and can't find it, or FLOTUS has met him lately with crossed legs!
  10. Yes, that's true @Dalal.Holdings, The consequences of Die Grüne getting its way and will in the sentiment [folly, panick<-?] after the TepCo accident, combined with the disruption of the relations between Western Europe and Russia afterwards, have for especially Germany been servere and far reaching. Mind you, later Germany has taken initiatives to seek for permission of eternal storage of nuclear waste material in the underground of the Eastern part of Funen, near Kerteminde. It's actually very similar to ring the doorbell to your nice neighbour [we Danes are nice!], asking the neighbour : 'Is it OK with you that I take a dump in the backyard of your garden?' lol! It also turrned the before then great German energy companies E.ON and RWE into zombie companies.
  11. LOL! - @whatstheofficerproblem, You simply need to try to buy just one Berkshire Hathaway B share, and decide for your self to hold on to it , through thick and thin, ups and downs -for at least a decade. When I express 'hold on to it', it means even if you're low on both cash and booze! It's a feature actually, not a bug, that when it's up, you simply can't open the share, and drink it!
  12. Novo Nordisk Foundation [January 15th 2026] : Novo Nordisk Foundation grants DKK 5.5 billion to elevate innovation in Denmark and Europe Executive brief : The Novo Nordisk Foundation has allocated up to DKK 5.5 billion (EUR 736 million) to BioInnovation Institute (BII), a leading institute for life science and deep tech innovation in Copenhagen. The funding will enable BII to expand its activities into new strategic areas and geographies, and support even more entrepreneurs and start-up-companies, thereby strengthening innovation in Denmark and Europe. The new funding frame runs from 2026 to 2035.
  13. It's time to buy Airlines! : Bloomberg [January 15th 2026] : Weight-Loss Drugs Hold Promise of Big Savings for US Airlines - - - o 0 o - - - But : There is a catch to it : Please note the savings estimates made by Jeffries don’t include any lost snack sales. - - - o 0 o - - - It isen't 1st April, nor Friday ...
  14. Yes, let's have some fun, right?! - - - o 0 o - - - Yesterday, POTUS started rambling about his Greenland thingy before being debriefed by Vance and Rubio about the elapse, course of the meeting with the Danish and Greenlandic representatives, under a White House press conference about ... school milk!
  15. Sold a few shares today before noon to cover Danish PAL-taxes on tax deferred accounts [15.3 per cent of [realized and unrealized gains for 2025 [net]+ received dividends in 2025]] credited for withheld dividend taxes on dividends from shares in companies listed aboad [outside Denmark]. So, basically, a sale to avoid a margin call for the PAL-taxes pulled out of the accounts today, where liquidity wasen't sufficient to cover the PAL-tax.
  16. Fox News [January 14th 2026] : Danish foreign minister addresses concern over Russian and Chinese influence in Greenland https://www.foxnews.com/video/6387730944112
  17. Observant Berkshire investors notice everything, nothing skips their attention! ! Btw. I'm here with Jeff [ @DooDiligence ] - that's also to me personally a darn ugly carpet! - - - o 0 o - - - Edit : That story about the young Buffett running him self into the ditch, the ground, burning through 40 dollars hard earned [the equivalent to thousands paper deliveries, one penny each!] on horse race betting, ending up buying himself a meal for the leftovers, then going home broke, switching to stock investing is just awesome! - Even Becky Quick can't maintain composure!
  18. But it's naturally OK to make money to sell weapons, ammo into the Russian-Ukranian War, making tons of money to US companies, by supplying such stuff to states supporting Ukraine, right? And as a NATO member to flirt with Russia [PORF - Putin] [Think Alaska meeting!] -And then you just continue to post here about 'other NATO members being behind, contribution-wise' ? Are you dumb, or what? - Perhaps totally deranged?
  19. Do you have a link to it, @Charlie? , Thank you in advance!
  20. Thank you very much for sharing, @backtothebeach! , I looked for it yesterday, without luck.
  21. https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/115893255826342514 Again, surreal! - - - o 0 o - - - -By now, less than two hours to meeting in White House West Wing between J. D. Vance and Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen and Vivian Motzfeldt, the Greenlandic Home Rule!
  22. Not that @Mephistopheles is wrong here, but just the thought of such a switch is in its nature so absurd, that it makes me squint-eyed, crosseyed. I've just got out of bed at 7 AM, I think I'll switch to reading the days newspapers in stead, this is just too demanding, too early for me. [<-]
  23. Randy Fine [January 12th 2025] : Congressman Fine Introduces Greenland Annexation and Statehood Act to Strengthen U.S. National Security and Put Our Adversaries on Notice - - - o 0 o - - - That's certainly a new way to declare war, how about the element of surprise in agressive warfare? -Or perhaps just a special operation of some kind? [The last idiot isen't dead yet!]
  24. - @gfp simply has a memory of steel ..., wait... I mean ...
