  1. Yea I think that's probably a good idea. I think I did a bit of that with Buffett and IBM years ago, analyzing where he might have went wrong (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpOHc7EQH_8). But I'd much rather get money for nothing without having to read or think
  2. While I try to free ride off other people's good ideas/analysis, I also try to keep a track of guys who are consistently wrong and bet the opposite. It's uncanny how some of these guys are wrong on a consistent basis - and it differs by area or industry or whatever, but you can count on these guys to be wrong over and over again. I found betting the opposite of these guys have been pretty profitable over the years In the end, what I want is money for nothing and chicks for free
  3. I for one always look for guys who have good ideas/expertise/knowledge, backed by track record, in anything, not just investments. It comes from the fact that I'm really lazy and personally think it's so awesome to make money without having to work so hard - massive bonus if you end up making more money than the guy whose idea you were free-riding on. I mean who wants to sit there and read boring annual reports and industry reports like some value investor nerd? That's boring baby haha
  4. Daly said he played his best golf when he was drunk!
  5. Like 2025, Tobacco/nicotine gonna outperform in 2026, baby! haha
  6. Huh, I would have thought it would be trading crypto and 0DTE options, not stocks Anyway my hygienist talked about spending money on online courses, on top of her belief in da future of crypto gotta know when to fold em, know when to walk way, when to run...
  7. Damn guys I went to my dentist in Glendale today and the dental hygienist went on and on about how she invested in crypto and really, really believed in it. That's gotta be some ominous ass shit for crypto, man, ominous I wanted to respond by singing Kenny Rogers' Gambler but I had that suction thing in my mouth
  8. Well it's inevitable just like the homeless in LA defecating into the concrete planters on the sidewalks on Wilshire Blvd You just gotta accept it for what it is
  9. The US will be able to borrow and spend way more than anyone expects, even ourselves We gonna be lak, damn we can get away with this much more for this long? Haha yes LFG!!! haha
  10. Nintendo, JOE (which was down -20% in 2024) and tobacco all turned out good in 2025 But da real money maker for me in 2025 was going long stock index futures from the tariff sell off in April, which I didn't expect coming into the year, so as always it's better to be lucky than good
  11. thanks man, I did way too well going long stock index futures off the tariff sell off bounce in April so if I lose from my NQ position this time around, it's cool man, no problemo
  12. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cwy7vrd8k4eo see man this is what I'm talking about. gates, Altman, the Economist and now the BBC all say AI is a bubble? No bro, during the top of the bubble, you're supposed to get comments from prominent guys like Bernanke saying soft landing in 2007: https://www.ft.com/content/1262b8fe-bc44-11db-9cbc-0000779e2340
  13. Yea bro I was around back then and what I remember is Nasdaq cracking 50% from 5000 in march to 2500 in dec 2000 and people still not openly declaring it a bubble, not like now where prominent guys like Bill Gates, Altman, and the economist are declaring AI bubble now (https://www.economist.com/leaders/2025/11/13/how-markets-could-topple-the-global-economy). I remember there were guys saying it would all bounce back, fueled by stuff like two surprise interest rates from Greenspan in Jan 2001 and April 2001. My memory is that only after Nasdaq crashed 70% from 5000 in spring 2000 to less than 1500 in September 2001 that big prominent guys finally declared dot com bubble as for the 2007-2009 bust, you could say that was a bubble in reckless mortgages...
  14. Bought a small position in nasdaq futures for da Christmas rally haha
  15. Boy there sure seems to be a lot of funboys flapping their gums about AI bubble/top i never heard so much jibba about tops in 1999/2000 or 2006/2007 Maybe theres a chance for a squeeze the shorts rally into a very merry Christmas
  16. https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2025/11/13/michael-burry-of-big-short-fame-deregisters-scion-asset-management.html maybe this means AI/nasdaq top is near haha
  17. Bought some CMG cuz why not baby why not
  18. Well my experience isn't an exact comparison because it involves credit risk, the subprime mortgage bust of 2007-2009, not overvaluation like 2000-2002 dot com bubble burst or possible AI overvaluation now But I began shorting the markets in 2006 because of all the dumbass subprime mortgages - remember NINJA, No income, No Job or assets mortgages - and got my ass kicked over and over for like a year and a half before my puts finally began to pay off And the puts began to pay off for me in the spring of 2007, around the time Sam Zell unloaded his Equity Office Properties to Blackstone https://www.chicagobusiness.com/article/20170601/CRED03/170609990/sam-zell-s-perfect-timing-of-equity-office-2007-sale-explained So I think shrewd guys with long, verified track records unloading big, meaningful positions (not small sizes but big positions) may be indications that can help you improve timing your shorts Or you could just forget about shorting altogether and make money much easier haha
  19. Yahoo acquired Broadcast.com in 1999 for $5.7Bil, cuz da future was streaming video and audio! https://www.internetnews.com/it-management/yahoo-acquires-broadcast-com-for-5-7-billion/ And it only took 20+ years for a few companies to finally produce some profits... haha
  20. My guess is there's probably another big rip to the upside maybe $5000 All these guys are still buying gold at Costco, they're still buying
  21. Yea I agree - I sold my gold futures, small piker positions they were
  22. Yea the jokes from Married with Children from the 90s, there's no way you could do that stuff today Me and my buddies constantly quote that Bundy to this day, as well as Seinfeld stuff haha
  23. Yea as much as I wanna short Nasdaq futures at 25k, things are probably gonna grind higher - I remember pets.com haha pets
  24. Oh yea hopefully a few -1000 Dow days are coming, and then we'll be cooking I'm ready baby, more so than in April
  25. I dunno man I can't really think of anything And gif pixels of a monkey smoking cigs... I don't think I can think of anything topping that, possibly ever I mean beanie babies from 1990s were kinda cute and you could have them on your desk and tulips are nice flowers
