Haryana Posted April 23 Posted April 23 (edited) In this video, 7.5 years ago, she concluded with: [So no matter where you are in the world, whatever country you may belong to, whether you are a young boy or a girl in a primary school or a college, you must know that sooner or later you will have to have something to do with India and it is inevitable because India is fast establishing itself as a Top 3 Economy of the world and its true potential is even bigger than that. So its better that you start educating yourself about the rising economic powerhouse that we know as India. Because your future belongs here too. And as I have said earlier, India is not just developing, India is reclaiming. See you again.] Edited April 23 by Haryana
Spekulatius Posted May 18 Posted May 18 (edited) Noticed that a couple of documentaries about Modi dropped. I found this one from Bloomberg quite good. In a nutshell, it seems to me that Modi is a Hindu populist who actually delivers for most of his constituents and that’s why he is so popular: He is probably the most important politician in India after Gandhi. Dinar Posted May 19 Posted May 19 15 minutes ago, Hektor said: Also this. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/18/world/asia/muslims-india.html You mean the Muslims in India are treated the way Muslims treat Christians and other minorities in Muslim majority countries? Actually, Christians and other minorities in Muslim majority countries can't even dream of being treated the same way that Muslims are treated in India. How are Christians and Zoroastrians and Bahai of Iran treated? Christians of Iraq? Christians of Lebanon and Egypt? You cannot build a church in Saudi Arabia. How are Christians treated in Chechnya?
Hektor Posted May 19 Posted May 19 I intend to mean nothing. I came across the NYT article, thought that painted another side of recent India, and felt others might be interested in reading it.

Umm no they are not. If that was the case, muslims would not have become the second biggest majority in India, Muslims also have the privilege of their own personal law board shielding them from the IPC (Indian Penal Code) & guess what, the Waqf Board of India, which is a literal islamist organization is the second biggest land owner after the Indian govt. They literally own 70% of Delhi! The propaganda against India to make it seem like a fascist state is so laughable. @Hektor totally understand, just saying that the western media incredibly loathes India for not being an American puppet, most of what they post about the country is blatant misinformation. Please compare the birthrate/population growth of Muslims in India vs. the population of Hindus, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains, Buddhists & even Christians in the neighboring countries, they have a very insidious scheme. Being called strangers in their own land after owing land only less than the govt and having partial 'Sharia' which they dream about in EU is disingenuous. Edited May 29 by whatstheofficerproblem

Hektor Posted June 26 Posted June 26 I guess this is a glimpse of the long run way opportunities in India has. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/06/26/business/india-us-manufacturing.html For American Brands Worried About China, Is India the Future? As multinational retailers diminish their dependence on Chinese factories, some are shifting production to India. In a global marketplace reshaped by volatile forces — not least the animosity between the United States and China — India shows signs of emerging as a potentially significant place to manufacture products. Multinational brands that have for decades relied on Chinese factories are expanding to India as they seek to limit the vulnerabilities of concentrating production in any single country. India presents a unique proposition as a country of 1.4 billion people, making it even larger than China. With abundant raw materials, from cotton to iron ore to chemicals, it holds the potential to develop its own supply chain.
