Good call. Also this video sums up Japan's unsolvable problem rather nicely. -

HLF halted right out of the gate. After JCP debacle yesterday Icahn could be going in for the kill. EDIT: Nope...Auditor resigns. -

Wilbur Ross: Long-Term Bonds Are Huge Risk
BargainValueHunter replied to Parsad's topic in General Discussion
I'd put my money on what it is that the Baby Boomers are going to do for the next 10 years. ...and that IMHO is to buy yield wherever they can find it. -
http://www.businessinsider.com/kyle-bass-talks-to-japan-counterparty-2013-3 Compare the above quoted with page 58 and page 59 of Michael Lewis' "The Big Short". Yes CDS on subprime U.S. mortgage bonds and Japanese government 10 year bonds are not the same thing but... Perhaps...finally...something may be happening.

Is anyone else getting these questions...?
BargainValueHunter replied to nkp007's topic in General Discussion
Some guys at my job like to "play" the market. I don't talk about stocks with them usually but they know I research stocks as a "hobby". So as the market has headed up they've become more talkative. I broke down and got into a conversation with them and they wanted to know which stocks I thought were "hot". I tried to explain that my interests lie with fundamental operating performance, earnings power, business moats, etc. My co-workers had no idea what I was talking about and just wanted to know what I thought about the price action in Facebook and Zynga. I've gone back to keeping out of the conversation. -

So the "value" seems to be in being short the bubble. Is there a doctor in the house? ;) http://www.entmoney.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/wall-street-profiteers1.jpeg

I've been hearing about China's RE bubble for three years now. http://www.coverjunkie.com/uploads/1319155062.jpg But I've also heard the theory that since a large part of each retail real estate purchase is made with cash (instead of good ol' American style no money down, interest only, blah, blah blah...) there really is no bubble. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50142079n What do you think?
