And what if other demographics are mostly for Democrats?

You are assuming all the non-Italian vote is 50-50

The UK retains full operational control of its nuclear arsenal. It doesn’t need US approval to use them. It was stupid of the British to stop their own nuclear weapons and delivery programme in hindsight because it leaves the UK supply at the whim of the USA. However, if we get into a nuclear war the French and British have enough to obliterate Russia, although Russia have enough to obliterate Europe many times over. But if it comes to that I don’t think we will be worried about the Donbas anymore.
-
So what’s the point at which Europeans will accept peace then? And if they won’t accept peace why don’t they put troops on the ground now? A peace with European troops in Ukraine almost guarantees war with Europe should Russia break it.
-
If it’s a trick, fair enough. But they do get something in return. The war ends, their country is flooded with arms. European countries are reported to send troops to guarantee the peace.

I’ve been highly critical of Trump’s naivety when it comes to Ukraine and his blatant lies about who said, did or started what. But it also looks to me that Putin is ready to stop the war. The BBC reports: ”Putin reportedly presented Trump a peace offer that would require Ukraine to withdraw from the Donetsk region of the Donbas, in return for Russia freezing the front lines in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson.” There is shock in Europe about Trump’s pushing for this, but if the offer above is accurate, it’s a significant softening from Putin, and I feel that an end to the this war (there may be another) might be close.

I don’t care what anyone thinks about the mail in voting, but Putin is trying to play Trump.

You realise that a lot of this is to do with age right? Most people move through the wealth categories as they get older and accumulate wealth. For those that don’t behavioural issues, such as laziness, inability to delay gratification, or addiction, are often the cause of the inability to build wealth. I have a friend with a gambling problem, our net worth are starkly different because of that. I have other friends who for years made it their mission to spend all their pay every month on drink and drugs.

This is what I object to. We are successful economically because our values and systems of government. Protecting that through selected tariffs might mean that people have to pay more, but it helps preserve our way of life, and helps ensure our economic dominance. I’m not a socialist and I’m also not a libertarian because they are both naive in different ways.
-
No, it’s that’s his dumb policies won’t work, and they will raise taxes on the middle class inspite of his tax the rich mantra. The reason to use tariffs are completely different than the reasons Bernie wants to raise taxes, which is because he doesn’t understand wealth is created, and it’s the politics victimhood - if rich people have something they took it from someone else - which is not how our societies work. I supported tariffs before it was cool. Several reasons: 1. Other countries have been abusing international trade rules, in particularly China. 2. Key industries must be supported for national security. 3. I don’t believe in enriching adversarial countries with opposing ideologies and which is actively undermining our interests. I don’t agree with using them to collect revenue as Trump is doing.

Ron Paul is another mad man, but at least he is running on reducing government and tax and he’s not hating on the system which has been soo good to him. I despise the negativity about economy and the talk of a rigged system when you live in the richest country of all time.
-
He’s top 5% at least, maybe top 2%. Living in the richest country in the world, made most of his money by being a career politician leeching, which has been funded in a large part by the rich he seems to hate. His policies of taxing wealth will drive the wealth creators away, and it will end up as higher taxes for the middle class. He’s just says things which are morale without any regard to whether they will actually work.
-
Bernie’s a socialist with a net worth that puts in the top few % in America. He’s a legit moron.
-
But if we change the title the market will turn instantly

The only thing that would kinda of make sense is that NVDA and AMD said even if there is a ban, these chips will get to China anyway, and they produce knockoffs - better to just let us export. In which case Trump went ok - but 15% of that revenue please
-
Is it all about the money? I thought it was a national security issue.

Fannie, Freddie, both… renamed and repackaged? I don’t know. What else might it be? -

It looks to me like a hint of IPO’ing the GSE’s in November 2025. -

One of the very few Twitter summary’s about a fund which was interesting to read. Never heard of these guys:
-
Why don’t you think that’s the case? I’m not saying it takes no development, I said takes less. It shortcuts all the recombination and expression vectors - pretty significant shortcuts. It’s objectively easier to develop and it’s not really an opinion.
-
Whilst I agree with you, one of the good things about mRNA vaccines is that there isn’t as much development. I don’t think this means there won’t be mRNA vaccine development, or that it will put anyone back decades. So I wouldn’t worry.
-
Why would you post that without any scrutiny? Redundancy programmes like the “Deferred Resignation Program” cost money upfront for longer term savings. Stop with the shilling.
-
Yes. There will be a procedure for reporting job numbers. If that procedure was followed, and that procedure is fair, and transparent, then there is no reason for the head to be sacked. Trump just looks like a demagogue who wants nothing but good news if she has been fired for no good reason. If Trump can show process was deviated from in the cusp of election, sure fire her.
-
Yeh these numbers have always been patchy and should be smoothed over a period of months. Firing the girl because he doesn’t like the numbers is ridiculous. He should make any evidence of wrongdoing public, otherwise you just look like a guy who can’t take the truth.
