  1. See what you mean now.
  2. I don't think it is a self own. Its Trumpising Trump's approach. He likes to slap labels on things all the time.
  3. Yes they do. It's 2% military spend by nation, it doesn't say where it must be spent. Canada has a Pacific fleet, British operate overseas territory (still), as does France, nobody is subtracting those expenditures from their net spend. But yes, America is benefited by European operations in the Atlantic, allowing them to have more military gear in the Pacific.
  4. Can they? Happy to agree it has a use, or nominally a value. Disagree it can be measured. Lots of value is of course subjective but there are objective measures of value too.
  5. But he didn’t say. He said he was seriously considering it.
  6. Both true.
  7. I’m not going after ‘all’ but the ‘most’, and I listed a few that I don’t think have any factual basis. Others include flat earth and vaccines and autism. Absolutely not deserved. There are crazies everywhere. I have little trouble with the ‘science’ and more trouble with the communication of the science by the talking heads in the media at the time. Another one I forgot was ‘ivermectin was a drug for horses’. When ivermectin is one of the most widely administered drugs to treat helminth infections in humans. Yes it mate have no effect on Covid, but can’t they also just say that without the animal drug crap. I’m not American btw.
  8. thanks for the reply
  9. How far out are the puts?
  10. I would love to own the companies when they are released, provided they aren’t priced stupidly. I have owned these on and off over the years, but swore I wouldn’t touch them again until they were finally public. I think share price is getting ahead of itself. The government could just wipe the entire slate clean here if it wants.
  11. Yes, that has been consistently my experience too. And yet we don’t want to control our borders. If you are a law abiding hard working black person in SA there is not doubt you face a lot of the same threats. But we shouldn’t deny that whites, especially those in rural areas with land, are being targeted. This has been going on for many years. When we talk about how human lives are valued, I’ve not heard one major politician before Trump bringing it up. Genocide is an exaggeration for sure, but if there are a group of people whose lives are considered less vs another, white SA fits that category because the absolute radio silence on the matter. Wrong race and they are seen as colonisers.
  12. Is that a fact? Moonlanding, Rothschilds and banking, Holocaust denial, Chemtrails? Where is the truth in those? And before those facts were known, what did the media report? No evidence of myocarditis (as sport stars were dropping with heart attacks). It wasn’t a lab leak (now believed it might have been). Trust the science was the mantra and dumb vaccine deniers was the label. Yes. Yes. But that’s not what I’m referring to. You seem to be forgetting that the usual suspects became vaccine experts overnight, that concerns about the safety of vaccine and the lack of trials were dismissed, that the vaccine was forced on people or they risked losing their job, and that the lab origins of covid were considered ’conspiracy theories’. And the usual suspects were wrong.
  13. A statement of fact - to clarify - the ‘facts’ are the reciting of two separate South Africans. What is the intent of your question?
  14. We know most prefer to stay that because most are not coming to the West, but many cannot come either. I think you are downplaying a bit much. I don’t think it’s genocide but they are definitely being targeted for murder - the whites in rural areas.
  15. Person in my work, South African, farmer and white. Sold their farm at very low prices and fled. They are being murdered and decided it’s too dangerous to stay. Met another South African a few years ago while walking the dog in a park. He told me his story, said he left because it was too dangerous and being white extra dangerous. He said he finds it amazing, he said people here (UK) haven’t a clue. He we could walk in a secluded park and not fear robbery or death - whereas in SA you can’t go out on your own. Especially if you are a woman, and white. But yeh… shoe on the other foot nobody cares because of their race.
  16. Another Covid conspiracy theory and ‘fake’ claims that turned out to have some truth to it: ”The CDC last month told its independent vaccine advisers that research showed Covid-19 vaccinations from 2020 through 2022 showed a statistically significant increased risk of myocarditis. The incidents were rare, however, and “there is no increased risk observed with the doses administered in subsequent years,” the agency said.” https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2025/05/21/health/fda-covid-vaccine-warning-heart-inflammation
  17. 121 days into Trump’s promise to end the Russia-Ukraine war within one day, JD Vance with a negotiating masterclass: “Speaking before Trump's call with Vladimir Putin yesterday, JD Vance warned if Russia is not "willing to engage" then "eventually, the US has to say this is not our war". I’ve noticed that JD hasn’t been in the spotlight much lately. I suspect it’s because Trump has quietly sidelined him for his regular gaffes.
  18. 100% I’m not saying we needed to be in Iraq. I’m saying 9/11 beget more than Afghanistan- right or wrongly.
  19. That’s a lot of words, but it’s really this simple. Would Bush’s military intervention in the Middle East occurred without 9/11? No. But sure, let’s try and pretend it’s about this other thing by cherry picking quotes.
  20. Eat the tariffs on a 3% profit margin. Sure thing Trump.
  21. Not down much now. Should have been up because i made a big bet when it looked like the tariffs were off initially, only to unwind it with all the chaos that unfolded that weekend. On this occasion my gut was right, and my head wrong.
  22. Two points about George Washington status. The Brits do have one. Some yanks, want to their George Washington statues taken down.
  23. Lol, that’s the thing. He actually made that insider knowledge semi-public. The MAGA cult made money, the TDS got mad. No arguments. Just saying, I honestly prefer this than a select few having insider information and making shit loads of money.
  24. Why? He literally told everyone to buy. Everyone. Whereas before only a select few knew and chances are many of them made a lot of money from that knowledge one way another.
  25. No Parsad, it’s true, because it’s a personal statement about what I remember. Quite different from saying there haven’t been any which I’m in no position to say that. It’s pretty simple. I can recall many Islamic terrorists attacks because there have been so many in my lifetime. Whereas I can’t recall a single Christian terrorist attack. And no, the IRA were not religious terrorists, although yes, religion had a part in that conflict insofar as the two sides largely broke down along Catholic and Protestant lines. I’ve explained it several times now, so I don’t know why it keeps coming back to me - it is a case of others believing I said one thing when I actually said something else. Here it is again: Terrorism committed for non-religious reasons by a Muslim, Christian, Hindu - whoever - is not religious terrorism. Terrorism committed for religious reasons is religious terrorism.
