I first became millionaire 20 years ago, during the dotcom, through the stock options I was granted in a hot tech company. and then I lost all of it because I didn't exercise and the stock fell > 90%. I wished I had known Buffett then. If I had listened to the annual meeting in 1999, I would have exercised my options, sold all of them and bought BRK. Then I would have called myself a "MULTI-millionaire" :) My wife liked to say that I would be so much richer if she had met me earlier (she would ask me to sell the stocks and we would bought a house at San Jose CA) on the other hand, if I hadn't lost my millions in the year 2000, I wouldn't have read so much about the stock market and finance, and then eventually learned about Mr. Buffett. I learned from Mr. Buffett not only about the stock market, I also learned how to be a much better person.

I listened to his answer about interest rate. To me, it seems to mean he think bank investment is a good one regardless what the interest rate is going to do (which I agree). I think the market made a mistake when banks were sold off due to yield curve inversion. Good time to buy more banks, imo

On WFC page, before people were complaining about not being able to access their money and overdraft fees, now they are complaining they no longer can get the “$50 customer appreciation credit” that was issued to some customers who called during the outage. Bunch of angry people hard to satisfy. Lol

You shouldn’t be quitting it because you can’t make money. I invest myself instead of indexing fund because I just love doing it. If I am really suck I will just do less while trying to get better, but no way I can stop. I never get why some people let others manage their money and pay for that. If someone offer to manage money for me I will ask them pay me a big fee
