Thanks SD … I was thinking along those lines in addition with the massive expense of the new pipeline thrown in.. all the parties would be unhappy with less revenue

For someone who got burned by regulators and the Supreme Court, and his now aversion to investing in banks because of this; I find it interesting that he invests in MLP… another highly regulated industry

Yep and that’s why I hope there is a special circle in Dante’s version of hell the Arafat is forever getting tormented in

Rationally, I ( as well as many more smarter people than me on this issue think the following. 1- A two state solution in combination with moderate Arab nations ( Jordon, Saudi Arabia etc.) and Israel signing a defense pact as a deterent for Iran and its proxies. "Yet, a substitute to indefinite occupation does exist: handing policing to a multinational, Arab-led force, whilst ceding political and administrative control over Gazans’ daily lives to the Palestinian Authority. The Israeli military would maintain control over the Israel-Gaza border. At the same time, Israel would need to end its blockade of the territory to permit reconstruction. " https://warontherocks.com/2023/12/israels-gaza-ground-invasion-and-the-return-of-strategic-depth/ 2- New elections and removal of the far right nut jobs as well as Bibi.. Disgusting that these sponges on Israeli society are in charge and dont fight..https://foreignpolicy.com/2024/03/08/israel-netanyahu-ultra-orthodox-military-exemption-hamas-gaza-war/

“There is no question that Israel will be better off, Palestinians will be better off and the Middle East will be better off if Hamas is totally defeated. And if it takes Israel going into Rafah to do that, then so be it. Hamas invited this war. Many, many Palestinians in Gaza will feel liberated by its defeat — not only Israelis. But that is if and only if Israel partners with non-Hamas Palestinians to build a better Gaza and create the possibility of a new dawn for Palestinians and Israelis. Biden is justified in using U.S. leverage to insist that Israel operate with that goal in mind — because Israel’s prime minister is not.” Sweet and Elda the quote above is from Tim Friedmans latest op ed https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/10/opinion/bidens-real-mistake-in-pausing-military-aid-to-israel.html Please read it if possible… Bibi is a total piece of s$&&… “This crazy lurch to the right in Israel — combined with a can’t-win strategy in Gaza combined with the fact that, as Harel wrote, “for almost a decade, Netanyahu purposefully wore down the civil service, weakened it and transferred the centers of power from the gatekeepers in the judiciary, treasury and defense establishment to a small group of” incompetent cronies — is hurting not only Israel’s interests but also America’s.” From weakening the judiciary to his many moves to undermine democracy in favor of his right wing nut jobs who helped him get elected… to allowing Oct 7th to happen as well as having no plan for Gaza the day after ( or maybe the right wing nut jobs want to annex)…..He needs to go asap.. And , just my opinion here … nothing that MFer says is worthy of a quote or to pay attention to except this: https://www.timesofisrael.com/in-1st-pm-accepts-some-responsibility-for-oct-7-i-hold-myself-and-everyone-on-this/

They also don't like the social ideas of the far right as well as the ultra orthodox ( approx 14%of population) not serving in the military and getting all sorts of handouts. Where in the past there were centrist checks on Bibi ;there are none now. - Make no mistake ; vast majority of Israelis see this as a war against Hamas (and Iran and its proxies ). - Tom Friedman has been spot on as to whats happening in Israel https://dnyuz.com/2024/05/02/israel-and-saudi-arabia-are-trading-places/. The only solution is a roadmap for a Pal. State without Hamas combined with an Israeli \moderate Arab and US partnership to check Iran. - I hope Arafat is in one of Dante's circles for declining the deal

G.. I was looking at this thru the lens of Breit's AIR communities purchase , a half a bill in renovations and approx. 65 bill in cash for future deals. Doesn't sound like its being run too shabby to the amateur real estate investor like me.
