All while I was working on getting my own snowball rolling. About half of that time span I was also working my butt off in a paid job [with a huge bonus for delivering!], that required much more than normal working hours. I simply had too few hours available in a night and day, the solution was to cut back on sleep! There is a reason I call CofB&F 'my classroom'! It's callled 'Do what it takes!' - Absolutely hell bent! -I inially had an enourmous handicap, by being a nitpicking Danish CPA, not focusing on what matters for the future. It took quite some time to shake, peel that off me.

I still remember how many kJoules and teeth it pulled, because you also have to relate to the actual investment environment back then when posted, not when you read it, so a lot to understand and relate to, lots of other stuff to look up along the way, in stead of 'just reading' in a constant flow. I.e. BAC back then at 6 post GFC is certainly not the same as BAC at 48.50, add to that BAC has materially changed, developed! - and so on, with everything! Please carry on, but please also think about to be ready to draw a line, when enough is enough. The marginal gain from continuing reading over time is in my opinion dwindling over time, but that may just be me.

As John Hjorth pointed out...lotsofcoke is the main reason this board exists or I have anything to do with the investment world! Without him, I would never have met Buffett...which led to Francis/JoAnn...which led to Prem...which led to this site and Corner Market Capital Corporation. He understood what Marvel was before Sony Pictures bought the rights to Spiderman and nearly a decade before Disney bought Marvel outright! He's also a top collector of Canadian aboriginal art! So if he's starting to like BRK...start paying attention. Cheers!

As for opportunities: I recall some old guy saying something about finding out who is wearing trunks when the tide goes out? As for end of world... One must invest like the end of the world doesn't happen... If it does... what you bought or sold won't matter and your cash won't help you or get you into the after life in a better position... My wife often says we should do this or do that because we may die tomorrow; my standard reply (before ultimately agreeing with her anyways) is "but what if we live to 130?" I've been mostly in cash the last two years (except NU/NYSE which I started buying in 2022)....I have started to nibble again (in oil). I sold all my BRK a little at a time last year... to go into cash and get out of US dollar exposure. Nothing bad about BRK.. just US dollar exposure and fully valued IMO. It's always my first choice because I know it best and it's such high quality. I have complete confidence in Greg Able. And remember: crisis=opportunity. All we need is Jim Kramer screaming what a horrible investment it is... a screaming buy signal... (anyone around BRK the last two decades will get the joke) Stay frosty people.
