Sweet Posted November 3 Author Posted November 3 Does anyone have a view on some of these sport betting companies such as draftkings or flutter entertainment? I think Draftkings looks interesting if they can keep their revenue growing for several more years. I don’t know much about the products, never used them. Basically a bet on increasing degeneracy, not sure how I feel about that as an investment strategy.

Just my view but I think the gambling market isn't as developed in the US as compared to the UK, so it still has lots to grow, plus there are lots of other new markets to go after, such as south America. It's also quite a heavily regulated industry, which will keep others out and should consolidate into a few keep players flutter being one of them

DooDiligence Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Today I noticed my local LL Flooring store had covered their sign with a cloth banner bearing the name Lumber Liquidators and it got me curious. https://www.retaildive.com/news/private-equity-firm-f9-investments-buys-ll-flooring/726413

Sweet Posted November 13 Author Posted November 13 Anyone ever think about these? I think they are all types of funds that sell calls on the stocks within the indices or the indices themselves. I’ve looked at some other covered call ETFs but kept away because I just feel they are a blowup risk.

However I'm not sure the women on dating sites (where they have to be very selective) are representative for society. For example in video he says that women are more selective on Tinder vs. OKCupid and he links it to being more selective for casual fun, while probably they need to be more selective as they have x times more candidates than chances to go on a date. dwy000 Posted December 16 Posted December 16 From the 2 minutes of research I did it would appear that the 12%+ difference between the YTD returns on the S&P 500 and the DJIA might be the largest ever (or at least in a very long time). Trying to figure out what the takeaway from that should be. Historically there's been almost lockstep reversion in these. Is it likely that the DJIA outperforms over the coming year(s) or is this the new normal as the Mag 7 continue to dominate?
