gfp Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 How much is converting A shares to B shares to give to the Gates and other foundations? That should be accounted for by using "a share equivalents" or "b share equivalents"
CassiusKing1 Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Question: Has anyone received their Shareholder credentials for the meeting? Are they even mailing those out this year due to the circumstances? I have a collection going back years of all the credentials, so was curious as the status of this years. Thanks.
JGBRK Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Shareholders cannot attend meeting, no credentials. https://berkshirehathaway.com/sharehold.html

At times he seemed to be falling asleep and on one or two occasions, WEB had to smoothly bail him out. It's a big day for somebody his age... SJ

Buckeye Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 This is smart. With Covid-19, you probably don't want your top three guys in the same room together.
Mephistopheles Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 I don't get why they can't each video in from different locations
wescobrk Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 I don't get why they can't each video in from different locations Agreed, not even having Charlie and Ajit on speaker phone? Wtf?
nickenumbers Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Yeah, I agree with you guys. It is really smart and necessary to physically distance all of them... But, we all look forward to Charlie. Maybe they could let him talk for 10 minutes at the end. Just cut to video in California, wake Charlie up from his nap and say "Talk Charlie." I don't care what he says it would be great. Dude is Wicked SMART and hysterical.
wescobrk Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 it isn't a safety issue. Charlie and Agit can talk over the phone. Very disappointing. I guess the Jason Zweig interview of Charlie from a couple of weeks ago is all we are going to get this year unless something changes.

longterminvestor Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 wonder why Greggory Warren (Morningstar) got the boot from being on the panel asking questions?
Guest longinvestor Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 wonder why Greggory Warren (Morningstar) got the boot from being on the panel asking questions? Only the journalists are represented by Betty Quick. The analyst panel is not in the plan this year. G Warren included.
Liberty Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Sorry if already posted, but interview with Buffett (posted April 30, recorded March 10):
longterminvestor Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Here is some insight (video and transcript) from Morningstar's Greg Warren regarding Berkshire titled "What the Pandemic Means for Berkshire Hathaway": https://www.morningstar.com/articles/981005/what-the-pandemic-means-for-berkshire-hathaway
good-investing Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 I had the pleasure to publish an interveiw with Greggory Warren today: Greggory is one of the 6 questioniares at the Berkshire Hathaway Annual meeting. In the interview we were talking about culture and valuation at Berkshire. Beside the fact, that we did it in November 2019, it offers a lot of good insights.
good-investing Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Maybe you also like this interview with Yefei Lu. Yefei has studied 20 investments of Berkshire Hathaway and written a book on them. We took a deeper dive on Coke and BNSF Railway

SnarkyPuppy Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Meeting starts at 4. Does anyone know how long the meeting will last?
LC Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Good warm-up for the Annual Meeting: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/warren-buffett-influencers-transcript-2020-120042697.html :) Around 23 min mark he admits the mistake passing on Google, and moreso that Sergey Brin/Larry Page came to Warren prior to IPO'ing Google. Can you imagine what would have been? ;D
good-investing Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 The last post from the series on Berkshire. I have discussed the results of the meeting with Vitaliy Katsenelson and Steven Kiel:
