  1. Dealraker is a warrior. God bless and keep well.
  2. I came across these guys recently and thought it was interesting. Problem is I had never heard of the company before, which for me is quite important because I’m more likely to hold something if I both know and understand their business.
  3. No charges against Andrew yet. He was arrested because in the Epstein emails he appeared to be sending confidential government documents to Epstein before they were made public. Nothing to do with the girls so far.
  4. If government waste is the issue then the outrage should be proportionate to the waste… but it’s not because it’s just a tagline to make it go viral.
  5. It doesn’t matter that Patel was celebrating with the team in the locker room. There is a small section of society who obsess over politics who have their fingers on the keyboard ready to stir up shit. If your life doesn’t revolve around politics you can see it for what it is - much of the time.

You don’t have to fall in love with the stock to make money from it. These levels are approaching those of Covid and 2008 and from looking at the chart it has historically bounced hard at these levels. Granted the revenue looks terrible the last 12 months, but I struggle to see how you lose much money. Caveated of course that I haven’t dug deep, but I do think there is a brand moat here. Not at all minimising your view, I don’t have a position here, partly because I just hate buying companies with declining revenue.
  7. They’d just be turned away if they refused to pay. The border control guys don’t care.

Perhaps, but you could say that about a lot of businesses and they churn more customers just fine. I think more important is whether there is a trend towards less bike ownership in general, similar to the way Gen Z are drinking less alcohol. This thing is trading around book value and I don’t think it will take much to go right for it to rip. I’ve got only superficial understanding of the issues at the moment though.

Had a quick look at Harley Davidson this afternoon. Pros: - cheap valuation - iconic brand - buying back shares - potentially at cyclic lows - balance sheet ok, enterprise value lower than market cap. Cons: - Revenue slump is bad - seems to be a general slow down in the sector - older demographic Overall I find it interesting, I think these things come in and out of fashion. I don’t see HOG going away, and if they can catch a break and get revenue to turn, this could pop much higher.
  10. Long but interesting read about how the US and the British correctly predicted the Ukraine war, the widespread skepticism among European governments and intelligence agencies, followed by jolt and sudden realisation ‘this is happening’: https://www.theguardian.com/world/ng-interactive/2026/feb/20/a-war-foretold-cia-mi6-putin-ukraine-plans-russia
  11. Very little John honestly. I mostly watch history programmes on YouTube now when I get a chance to watch tv. I used to watch sports much more than I do now. Nowadays it just running around after kids, which is much more fun
  12. I think he can believe both things. When I’m watching comedy, or sport, and some dickhead starts talking politics I just turn it off. I believe in freedom of speech but by the same token I just want people to shut the fuck up and let me chill out and watch the tv without listening to your BS.

  14. I mean, single data point of not, it’s just a fact that America was a European colonial project.

The rip higher in stocks is strange, many stocks on my watchlist are up 3-4%, some are up 6-7%. I can’t find any particular reason for it either in the news other than it’s coming off a drop. But this kind of volatility sometimes precipitates large declines.
  17. From independence until the 1950s or something, immigration was preferentially European because America was a European colonial project. The laws and rules, some of which you posted, show that its wasn’t a ‘merit’ based system, immigration was geared towards European ethnicity. You may have a different concept of what America should be, but for most of its history it was in fact an ethnically European enterprise.
  18. This is the immigration policy of many nations, it’s not an aberration. ‘Anti-American’ is your opinion, and many may disagree. American immigration policy originally, and for a long while after independence, was very restrictive in who could come and get citizenship, so you are cherry picking which part of American history when you say it’s anti-American. It’s fair to say that the immigration system was, in fact, preferentially European for most of American history. Exactly the opposite of what you are claiming. And in the days of LLMs, were you can find this information in a few minutes, I can’t understand how you reached your particular conclusions.
  19. You seem to be saying this is a bad thing, and yet, it’s how many countries organise their immigration, both historically and now. In fact more countries are going down this route.
  20. Lol. Investors are happy.
  21. 100%. I’m definitely past the point of caring about these labels. Views which would have been centrist 20 years ago - control migration, preserve culture, little bit of patriotism - was a fascist, racist etc. There are genuine criticisms about Trumps actions and behaviours, and more generally about some of the people on the political ‘right’. However, if the same people screaming fascism and racism constantly for 15 years think they are the ones the deliver this lecture they can swivel on it.
  22. I saw that, and I don’t understand how a shark didn’t get him. Kids a hero though.
  23. If you entered the country illegally, you are a criminal. Perhaps most of the unauthorised immigrants are non-white.
  24. No names - but let’s just say it’s same people talking confidently about things just getting it wrong time and time again.
  25. We should have a thread for contrarian people. I’ve seen a few people making predictions this week that almost perfectly timed short term tops and bottoms. These people are often loud.
