My wife is a nurse and we live in a town with 3 hospitals close by. I want her to become a travel nurse but only accept jobs in out town. I am not sure if that is possible but since each of the hospitals has hundreds of vacant positions, I don't see why that isn't possible.

What I find interesting given Mungers apparent conviction on BABA is that WEB hasn’t purchased any (that we know of). I am not surprised that WEB doesn’t want to purchase BABA. But when your parter of 50 years has a strong conviction in a stock and your are sitting on 150B cash and you are not willing to buy, I just wonder how that conversation went. I moved my investments to Merrill last year because they allow you to use your margin for investments outside of your account. I wanted to have margin available for buying a house I planned to flip. After I signed up for the margin account I learned that if you use the money outside the account it is actually DEMAND Financing that can be called at anytime with no warning. I have not used this margin, because giving them the right to call your financing at any time for any reason too risky for me. Does anyone who uses margin for purchasing homes know if IBKR/Schwab considers the margin loan a Demand loan? I want to avoid a margin/loan call at all costs, I plan to only margin ~10% of my investments.

Listening to GE's CEO this week, he seemed open to the possibility of selling one of the three new businesses they are splitting off to another company. Any chance Berkshire would make an offer to buy the aviation or energy business from GE? I know Berkshire isn't interested in bidding wars, or hostile takeovers, but this seems like an opportunity to buy an elephant.
