I spoke with the booth person and he said last year’s price was approximately 11k for 1 person and 18k for two, not including your transportation to India. That was last year.

I too am thankful for Viking, Safety and all the others that contributed their knowledge. I was a little late to the party; but I think it’s still early. Thanks again to all.

Thank you so very much. I look forward to the meeting and hopefully meeting some of you. Thanks again.

Hi all, This is my first year attending the Fairfax Annual Meeting. I know the meeting begins at 9:30 AM. Is there any need to arrive prior to 9:00 AM. I'm just unfamiliar with the attendance and whether there are lines. I suspect not, but wanted to be prepared. Thank you,

My palate is not that refined, but yes, I find it enjoyable.

With all due respect Sanjeev, I'm not certain I would want Bernie working on my tax return. Maybe making license plates or making small rocks out of big rocks.

This is for the "In what it's worth Department." I just got off the telephone with a Vanguard supervisor named Kim DeSoto (phonetic spelling). She advised that costs and quality of service were the primary drivers of this decision. Ms. DeSoto also said they have received several complaints in regards to their decision to eliminate OTC stocks. She said she would elevate my complaint. If anyone is inclined to bellyache to Vanguard, now may be the time.

As a poster elsewhere mentioned for some odd reason Vanguard no longer allows the trading of Over the Counter stocks with a market capitalization of less than $300 million on their platform. For some odd reason they have included FRFHF in this category thus making FRFHF untradeable with Vanguard. I have been arguing (doing battle) with Vanguard for about a week regarding this policy. If anyone else has a Vanguard Brokerage Account and feels this policy is as stupid as I do, please reach out to Vanguard and let them know your thoughts.

Bought more BRK.B earlier today.

I don't think See's uses preservatives. Not sure about the others. That might be the freshness factor.

I’m doing a Roth conversion while securities are depressed.

Thank you ValueMaven.

Reminds me of the old adage, "more money than sense."

I bet the quarterback wearing jersey #9 will lead their team to a Super Bowl victory.

Sorry Sanjeev. It does add validation to my Raiders loss. Can SF win 7 in a row against LA?
-
Being a Raiders fan, I was glad to see a Bengal victory; it added validation to the Raiders loss to them. Sorry Parsad, but the Bengals beat the Chiefs once this year, maybe they can do it again. On the other hand we all know what Mahomes can do in 13 seconds.

The true test of character is what a person does when no one is looking. Howie dipped into petty cash and donated land and money and shortly thereafter received a certificate that takes months of training to receive. Don't get me wrong, Howie most likely possesses the skills to be in law enforcement but he should put away the checkbook and conduct the training. When you're dealing with an individual's civil rights you better be trained. The real question is; are there other ethical, integrity or character lapses with Howie. Most likely not, but on the other hand we weren't looking.

Looks like Howie made some news. https://foxillinois.com/newsletter-daily/director-fired-after-improper-law-certificate-given-to-donor

When I started this thread the question I had and still do is this. Concerning the timing of all factors was Gates asked not to return as director because of some of his behaviors and associations, specifically Epstein? We'll probably never know for certain but I cannot think of anyone that once on Berkshire's Board of Directors would voluntarily leave. Gates most likely used the Gates Foundation as his ruse to leave. Did he bring his womanizing to Omaha? Did Buffett misread Gates character? Did Buffett realize what a nightmare it would be if word got out about Gates and Epstein or any of the alleged real or perceived subplots? And word always gets out. A persons character does count.
