  1. @adventurer Buyback announcements are normal. % or $ permitted to be repurchase will be different. And it's discretionary. Can be opportunistic, to offset dilution, or a way to return money to shareholders. At same time, it can be suboptimal if valuations are high.
  2. You can also check whatever wildlife you think might be laying, hatching, etc. We were at Ostional during turtle laying season, near Nosara, and despite having to be there hella early, it was fun. Also check out the farmers or extremely local produce markets. You might think regional fruits would be easily available, but sopates and others exotic stuff were not too easily found. And download offline maps.
  3. Wonder if Seaspan or other Atlas biz would have been part of Berkshire if things went differently.
  4. Kids might want to try surfing? It's unlikely you'll be going to southern west side, but Rancho Cielo Alto was good, by Uvita: https://maps.app.goo.gl/YzzQGBCZLaEELa8U6
  5. The stuff highlights the lever that can help though.
  6. @SongDonkey.AI beat me to it. I was just about to say the same thing. ... As I do have a starter position in RTO.
  7. I wish I could be a full time investor but don't have enough money to do so.
  8. Most of the articles indicate that it won't be quick or cheap. Or are you thinking it'll take more and or longer (beyond 2028 and however billion+ for capex)?
  9. That's where the ability to issue some FIH could have helped boost whatever % of direct equity they'll eventually get. I guess with continued execution, FIH will get closer to BV and can do so for future deals.
  10. I'll take a discount with good management and good assets any day. I have a position. I'm just more thinking in terms of IDBI or other prospects.
  11. I feel the share price hamstrings them as they seek more opportunity. It doesn't have to be at or above book value, but being close gives it option to sell shares if something big comes along. At this point, one of the tools is just not available.
  12. Sounds more like need money to invest in project for himself or his family.
  13. We are in Barcelo Maya resort now. Weather and water is pretty decent.
  14. Thank you short report?
  15. All the options vested already though, right?
  16. I might follow this. I just don't trade much, but that's what the tax advantage account is for, I guess.
  17. i logged in today on my phone finally, couldn't do it for over a week.
  18. I had same idea but was too busy yesterday.
  19. I've never had a great driving car. Partially because my dream ride was always a mini-van, too many fond memories of roadtrips and ski trips with family and friends in a mini van embedded to ever want another type of vehicle.
  20. I can share that it wasn't me. Margin don't get that high.
  21. Time flies, felt like not that long ago when I was wondering when Porsche (and other high end car companies) would be introducing an SUV, and then seeing them on the road too. Can't believe it's been over 20 years ago. Talk about memories not jiving with reality.
  22. it's been 10 years (at least) since Porsche SUV?!?!?!!!!?!
  23. If you are position to be mortgage debt free, that's completely different position. Not to support the pay check to pay check group, even without extravagant spending but having a home and squirreling away retirement savings and building reserves for frugal living is pretty overwhelming until one gets better job security and maturity.
  24. That's kinda my view. I feel more freedom knowing I got a great rate, and flexibility to invest more. I'm still at financial point where I feel like I need any advantage I can get.
