I wouldn't go that far. I remember when the U.S. went into Iraq with zero evidence of nuke building material. Canada does not do military parades like the one the U.S. is doing...or those held in Russia, China, North Korea, etc. Warriors Day Parade, etc are very small marches of soldiers generally. Hardly, if any, military vehicles, planes, etc. The U.S. is doing a full blown parade like the three state-controlled countries mentioned above...spending something like $30-40M USD for this birthday present to Trump! Take a quick look around the world or even in North America like Canada...many parts of the world pay way more for energy on a cost/liter basis. And in terms of potholes in the roads, terrible schools, homeless problems...that's not unique to California, and depends a lot on where you live as well.
