Hmmm...the old Republican guard was less vocal...this MAGA tribe is as vocal and inaccurate as the left has ever been. Cheers!

He can certainly be doing both...lying and negotiating. Blake can't see the forest for the trees, and Cubs is like a father with a kid with a meth problem, but ignores the loose teeth and stealing...he's a good boy! Find common ground...that's the only way this works long-term. Cheers!

The hardcore lefties aren't any better. Time and energy would be better spent finding common ground. Cheers!

Also, I would add that for the next two years, they don't have to do anything and will still add about $140-160 USD a year to book. So if book is somewhere around $1,500 USD at the end of 2027...at current price to book and exchange rate, it would be trading around $3,200 - 3,300 CDN. That's 14-15% annualized without them doing anything! If they make historical returns on the investment portfolio, the return would be closer to 18-20% annualized. I'm eyeballing it so take my analysis with a grain of salt...Viking can give you an estimate down to the dollar! Cheers!

If you believe those that suggest FFH deserves a higher multiple akin to MKL, BRK, etc, then it is trading at around 1.6 times 2nd Q 2025 book. On an earnings basis, it doesn't seem expensive still at about 10.6 times earnings. And that doesn't include an adjustment to unrealized gains to book...any investment gains to earnings. Compare that to the rest of the global market and it's still somewhat cheap, and if you buy the theory P/B should be of higher quality, it is around fair value based on current IFRS book value and P/E. I wouldn't be adding, but I'm certainly not selling either! Cheers!

Nah...who cares what he thinks. If he was managing a portfolio, he would be wiped out right now just from his analysis of FFH. It's up 300% from the original price target he had. If he had taken a miniscule short position, his losses would have wiped him out now or at least knocked off like 50% of his portfolio. Cheers!

Who the hell is she? Do you know? Cheers!

I'm sure there were many, many Germans that were a victim of their government...but at the end of the day, the scourge that instigated the whole mess had to be removed and that meant there would be unwanted casualties. Why would this be any different? Everyone has sympathy for the innocent...but humanity's endless engagement of war to perpetuate ideology is nothing new. Cheers!

C'mon...what's happening in the U.S. is closer than what is happening in Gaza. People being systematically removed from their family, homes, workplaces, public places by masked men with guns in the day, middle of the night without warning. What is happening in Gaza is war...you cut off supplies, food, water, energy, ammunition, etc to the guerilla warfare enemy. If they are using people as human shields, you cannot simply give the supplies and not expect it to get into their hands. What if Hamas had killed 100,000 people instead of killing, maiming or taking hostage 1,000 people? Would that make it any more or less justifiable? The numbers are just numbers...the end goal of Hamas/Hezbollah and Iran is actual genocide. They want to blow Israel out of existence...true genocide! Cheers!

You might have been speaking to @ourkid8 but you said it to everyone. Maybe personal message next time! Cheers!

Diego Luna's fantastic monologue about immigration on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. Cheers!

You also have the most strong tornadoes per unit area! Cheers!

That would just make him a martyr for Iranians and other terrorist groups. Internal regime change and facilitating that is the ideal way. Or you bring them to the table and keep them under control going forward. Cheers!

Congratulations to OKC winning the NBA Finals! SGA has catapulted himself into the discussion of Greatest Canadian NBA Player Ever and possibly one of the greatest NBA Players Ever...all at 26 years old! And he makes it look awfully easy...kind of like Dwayne Wade used to. Smooth, smart and incredibly lethal with few turnovers! https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/nba/nba-champion-shai-gilgeous-alexander-now-canada-s-greatest-basketball-player/ar-AA1Hgj1w?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=c7e408073a8a4263a52889e529fee889&ei=29 Amazing what Canada's basketball program is doing in the last decade. Wish Indiana star Halliburton a speedy recovery...sad and really bad luck to see him go down in Game 7...might have made the difference. But they will probably win one soon as well! Cheers!

I agree. A ground war would be the last thing anyone wants. Now that their so-called nuclear facilities are hampered, Israel and the U.S. need to be strategic...sanctions, only military/communications targets if there is any sort of retaliation, ensure that no one else in the Middle East considers providing any support for Iran (I don't see that happening) and then do everything possible for regime change internally. Cheers!
-
But remember SD...Sunni days are ahead of us! Cheers!
-
Oh Lord! Shoot me now! Cheers!
-
Maybe some...but I would imagine that most want a regime change. If they are going to die for something, I think it would be that and not to support the existing government. Cheers!

1-2% is an average day these days. Personally, I think this may actually calm things down now in terms of the Middle East. No one is going to retaliate against the U.S. or probably even Israel other than possibly Iran. And they won't be able to do much other than target U.S. troops or citizens over there. It will open the door to small terrorist groups who want to make a name for themselves over time. Cheers!
-
Regarding oil, I suspect the rest of the Middle East will start to produce more volume to keep prices relatively low. They all have a pretty good relationship with Trump these days. Cheers!
-
I agree Kim should be concerned or start behaving. Xi is another animal...same with Putin...they are nuclear armed, not simply working to that goal. Cheers!

Frankly, I think he ended up doing what nobody else really wanted to risk over the last 40 years. Bibi gave him an opportunity and he took it. Could have gone very wrong, but looks like (at least for now) that it was a gift horse! I think Iran has no choice but to come to the diplomatic table now. The only concern is that the demise of the Iranian regime doesn't give rise to the next novel terrorist group by ISIS or someone else raising their importance in the region. Cheers!

Hilarious! Isn't that exactly what we say about the North Koreans. The U.S. has become North Korea! Cheers!

Could be Biden as well! Cheers!
