  1. Dont mind if I do. Edit: I always wish i picked being a lawyer if for the sole fact you could use cool latin phrases....i took latin in HS and kinda regret not following on that...cant do it all i guess. Moar! Because im a slow reader since the last edit: I added that at the end...... I need to get a life..... Sound like someone? Im pretty sure the NWS has "directly impacted" my investment operations. I suppose thats a mater of opinion though. I once had a turtle named lucky. Redundant but i like to use the quotes button. see above. interesting little tid bit.... Coal Something or anothter case: One day we cleaned Luckys tank outside and left him in the tank..outside over night. This is rich. Google that term. The Cinderella test.....im going to use that line more often. About half way though....shit PTI is on soon. Noo.....self interest......I dont believe it. Hamilton nod....nice. The next day lucky was gone and his rock castle was dropped on the concrete next to the tank... That sound you hear is your mind exploding.... Side note on the above last one....Muger has said that at least Allan Greenspan has admitted hes wrong.......very uncommon thing. I like to think hes still alive today out in the stream near my parents old place. WHAT?! ohhh..... Get ready for this........seatbelt on? Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Side not this is what Buffet and Munger mean when they talk about incentive........and the power of the Gov't to change those....make no mistake folks. Too bad they arnt doing the above one with F&F. Anyone got a no credit score Fannie loan yet? Do as i say not as I do. This one time at band camp...... I got bored and left when it talked about the apointments clause........sorry if this post and its edits are a little overzealous. could be the 24oz of coffee i had 4 hours ago...

  5. Legalities aside I'm a little shocked no one has quarterly estimated what the dividend to the govt should be.....you would think TO would show that in a presentation..I guess he just needs more preparation....you know quantify the damages done to shareholders Aussie Leslie Luk (my spelling is shit,I owe her a pint ) is spot on. im actually a little shocked no one else has bought it up.... Read her comments.......fucking Aussies...some tough sobs....Google her SA article.
  6. Oddball/Jawn/Anyone Any of these guys trying to do any Buffett style outright purchases...and abuse the businesses cash flow into other opertunities?

  8. He doesn't like hedge fund guys.....thinks he should be running his own hedge funds...plus maybe some commitment bias. I think his bio says he was a hedge fund lawyer...probably wasn't very good at it...so now he's writing. That being said he's not a very good investigative journalist either...but I have my own biases(I'm still not sure) in that...sorry I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.
  9. Ackman mentions F&f in Graham and Doodsville. Sry if repost. https://www8.gsb.columbia.edu/valueinvesting/sites/valueinvesting/files/Graham%20%20Doddsville_Issue%2023_Final.pdf
  10. I think this is the second time that Mayopoulus has mentioned this? Incentive Merk. There's no incentive to build capital and billions not to not to.

  14. Sorkin was actually on Charile Rose...friday I think...thats where I heard about the piece
  15. I thought Rosner had a good tweet the other day....i know its not that simple but i thought it was a good point. As largest shareholder in 2 public #GSEs, is @USTreasury in possession of material non-public info? Where is exemption?
  16. I understand it was a bit political and that makes it a bit personal. Also, I thought there were some good lines in there. Althougg thought it was a fair assessment. You can disagree with him on a political level but you have to admit he's a very smart man and, I think, his statementship has been superb....but I always make outlandish comments.
  17. For what it's worth... http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/05/01/magazine/president-obama-weighs-his-economic-legacy.html
  18. Carneys latest. http://blogs.ws.com/moneybeat/2016/05/02/freddie-mac-may-need-more-taxpayer-money/ "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Shakespeare was a smart man.
  19. Seriously, I only turn it on 2x a year.......
  20. +1 on both the books about Keynes and the comments on the man himself. i would also suggest after some of the above books dipping into his Essays in Persuasion. Even at first 100 pages in and you can already see his influence on Buffett
  21. Keynes nailed it way back in 1919....P. 10 Essays in Persuasion
