  6. Endeavor Energy Partners is exploring a sale that could value the largest privately-held oil and gas producer in the Permian basin of the United States at between $25 billion and $30 billion, according to people familiar with the matter. https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/exclusive-endeavor-energy-explores-sale-185530390.html Endeavor produced 331,000 barrels of oil equivalent in the second quarter of 2023, up 25% from the corresponding period in 2022, according to Fitch Ratings. The credit ratings agency projected last month that Endeavor will generate about $1 billion of free cash flow in 2024.

  10. They will be ok. The most immediate impact on the team’s income statement will be from MLB’s revenue-sharing distribution. MLB’s last collective bargaining agreement made the A’s eligible for that windfall, but there was a hitch. The A’s would receive only a 25% share in 2022, a 50% share in 2023, a 75% share in 2024 and a full share in 2025. The shares in the last two years were contingent upon the A’s having an agreement in place for a new ballpark by 2024. No agreement, no revenue sharing. The team’s 25% take in 2022 amounted to $9 million, meaning a full share would have been $36 million. Assuming the agreement for a new ballpark in Las Vegas is in place by January 15, the team is going to get upwards of $50 million from revenue sharing in 2024 and 2025 combined. While $50 million may not seem like a ton of money considering the billions flying around in team valuations, it would have been substantial for the beleaguered A’s. That figure would represent almost one-quarter of the team’s total revenue prior to the $9 million of revenue sharing it booked and more than 70% of its total player costs, including workers’ compensation and insurance and bonuses. TEAM VALUE $1.18B Calculated March 2023 https://www.forbes.com/teams/oakland-athletics/?sh=171d465a26ac Yea, It will be alright

  18. No, we won't freeze them. It's more than usual amount I like to have on hand but the deal was too good to pass up. We're a family of 3 and the grandparents visit 1/week. Cantonese/Chinese dishes: 3-4 eggs for Tomatoes Eggs 4-5 for silky soft Steamed eggs 1-2 eggs in egg noodles/ramen 3-4 eggs for bitter melon with eggs https://thewoksoflife.com/ - I don't follow their exact recipes but more for a source of inspiration. When we have many, the wife likes to make ramen eggs or more rarely tea eggs. I personally eat more non-Asian food than my family so I do a breakfast taco/burrito or scrambled eggs every couple of days. Some weekends I make a frittata and that takes up 6-8 eggs. We eat what's in season and what's on sale. The menu changes accordingly to that, unless it's a special occasion.
  19. Things are more expensive but some things are still so cheap. Saw chicken drumsticks at Costco for $0.59/lb couple weeks ago. Eggs were on sale $0.99/dozen last week at a supermarket. Stocked up on 6 dozens. I still see prices for whole chicken $0.69-0.99/lb at various markets all the time. Picked up some corn at 6 per $1 last week. This week is 5 for $1. Few weeks ago, Roma tomatoes were on sale at 0.79/lb. Non-sale price is like $2-3... Bone-in pork shoulder could be had a $1-2 a pound still. My freezer still have a bunch of $4-5/lb Korean style beef short ribs and $2/lb pork ribs. Sure some of these sales may be loss-leaders but there are deals to pick up every week. I'm in Bay Area, CA so not exactly low cost area. Your $2000 for a family of 5 is a lot but I can see it. NYC can add up fast.
