  1. Well, some are still in mourning from that weekend. First that damn crossbar and the penalties, only for the next day to see the real flying dutchman. Football is brutal, must be the sport where most often the better team loses. We, my Chilean-Mexican family, are still trying to find a way to cheer us up.
  2. Anyone on this board with experience setting up a fund in Mexico or Chile, or knows someone who has?
  3. Not a ringing endorsement some in this board would say (not me as you know). I actually think Mary Barra is behind the ball. She better start doing a better job.
  4. Talking my blog. http://variantperceptions.wordpress.com/2010/11/20/david-tepper-on-investing-under-uncertainty-theory/ http://variantperceptions.wordpress.com/2010/11/20/david-tepper-on-investing-under-uncertainty-practice/
  5. hi all, any news on the date of the DJCO annual meeting?
  6. Has anyone seen recent global CAPE ratios or normal ones? I'm particularly interested in the numbers for Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Colombia.
  7. I second that. http://variantperceptions.wordpress.com/2010/03/21/the-art-of-profitability/

  9. Why is Volkswagen going upmarket when you have Audi and Porsche? After reading the article I still don't get it. Why VW Is Rolling the Dice on a $70,000 Car, Again http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2013-07-18/vw-phaeton-why-vw-is-rolling-the-dice-on-a-70-000-car-again
  10. Great guy and a great blog. Cale has had some bad luck with his telecom picks and despite that, the results are good. For example, he was too early but not wrong with LEAP and IQNT. All those telecoms, glad that I don't understand them well.
  11. If you are in Twitter, you probably have heard of him and the Davian Letter. Fund suspended operations and Twitter account is down. http://sirf-online.org/2013/07/15/the-erstwhile-hedge-fund-king-of-akron-ohios-very-hard-summer/ @Hedgieguy tended to boast his enviable lazy lifestyle and the "track-record" had a way to show up way too often. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05-Bl4WV91E His Twitter account celebrated his "successes" with a parsed disclosure of failures to look human. Of course perfect trading usually covered his tracks. All these while battling the industry smidiots and trying to connect to people like the rest of us. Usual stuff. If true, good job Roddy Boyd. If not true, still a profile to avoid.
