Best Movie of The Year!

Yesterday I watched the movie “Skyfall” for the first time. And I enjoyed it very much!

One memorable scene comes when Emme quotes a few lines from the poem “Ulysses” by Alfred Tennyson. They are really worth repeating:

 

Tho’ much is taken, much abides; and tho’

We are not now that strength which in old days

Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;

One equal temper of heroic hearts,

I didn't care too much for Skyfall.  The Hobbit was probably my favorite so far, but I need to watch a lot more movies: Lincoln, Argo, Zero Dark Thirty, and probably a few others.

Not an upvote for the movie (which I've not seen), but an article on how economics and politics helped Transformers 4 succeed at the box office.

It is not a movie, but everyone should watch the tv show fargo. Based on the movie Fargo. It is at least as good, and about 10 hours long.

Finally a subject where my opinion is just as good an anybody else's!

 

I loved Life of Pi.  And I wasn't a fan of any Ang Lee movie before that.

I'm curious about the Fargo show as well. I've been meaning to watch it since I went to high school with Alison Tollman.

i think the series can easily compete with the movie. It is kind of a sequel on the movie. But I guess if you didn't like the movie (are you even human?) then you will not like the series.
