That's just it; I didn't complain non-stop about those with whom I had disagreements (i.e., Biden), and I readily acknowledge disagreements even with those I support (i.e., Trump).  Last I checked, COBF didn't exist when Clinton was President(?) but there was a lot there to like in those days.  Too bad he would be a pariah among today's democrats.

Ha I mean the only thing really permeating of late is wondering why every single numb nut Fed official and politician wants to talk about the horrors of inflation because of oil(war...DUH!), or heck BBQ prices(meat derivative)...but we all dance along oblivious as to why memory prices are A-OK having gone up 10x as 3-4 main guys sport 80% margins....is Liz the Indian still hammering home how unacceptable BX's 40% NOI margin is on rentals, or about big builders still having 20% margins financed by double digit construction loans? The more things go on, the more it seems the masses are just totally losing track of the things that are relevant to whats happening.

Yep. The thing I wonder about is whether there is a deliberate "overload" strategy going on, or if it's just a side effect of the way things happen these days.

 

Like, it's pretty clear that the "never let a crisis go to waste" thing from decades back was and is a deliberate strategy, and I'm wondering if overload is too.

I've personally been holding my breath the last couple of days related to the Ankara NATO summit ... - how would it go, and how would it turn out related especially the relationship of NATO to USA, and here we go - To me personally, it certainly could have turned out much, much more worse than this :

^ 9 out of the 14 unique states above have total Republican control (holding the governor’s office and both legislative chambers), and 11 of them have Republicans controlling both chambers of the legislature.

How can Republicans be so rational at the state level while operating as a complete, on-fire clown show at the national level? It's ironic.

It's hilarious that any credit to the U.S. current wave of success is solely attributed to Trump.  You have one of the greatest booms in human history happening in AI...as well as predicated on the enormous cash flows of the massively successful technology companies the U.S. has produced over the last 50+ years...which has been happening over numerous administrations due to the U.S. entrepreneurial and capitalistic framework  Yet, every administration talks about how the country was a massive failure under the previous administration.  Trump is not responsible for this boom...the United States is responsible for it!  Cheers!

That's funny,,,  Trump's trade policy was supposed to create an economic disaster.  His DOGE efforts were supposed to be a waste of time and find no significant fraud, and tank the economy with unemployment.  His foreign policy and Iran war was going to cause WWIII and oil going to $200. His fiscal policy was supposed to unleash devastating inflation...

 

Instead, the US market is ripping..

I don't know, @Spekulatius, 

 

But I think Mette Frederiksen for sure would prefer some heavy and soft as material for bullets, to really tear a part what's hit.

 

But shooting isen't her preferred way of doing things, she prefers the 'Endlösung'-approach, when scale is needed [Source]. Really not hard to understand POTUS has called her 'a nasty woman' in a real estate deal, that ended up so far not to happen.
