I listened to an episode of Morning Brew Daily which covered the Open AI AMD deal, Deloitte’s report to the Australian government which was riddled with AI errors and hallucinations, and the Fifth Third/Comerica merger. Seemed pretty good. Then today started with a good bit about the ongoing air traffic controller shortage on top of government shutdown and how a similar situation in 2019 served as a breaking point to end that shutdown. But then it devolved into the WNBA, Carry Bradshaw, Christiano Ronaldo, whether one of the hosts has 150 people in his social circle. Not what I am looking for! And just so you understand how he works - he does a Friday night "market/business" wrap - usually 20-30 minutes. Then Every Monday, he does a 60 minute in depth topic - tariffs, interest rates, business tax policy, trade, AI, etc. Here is one of his short Friday night podcasts:

Spekulatius Posted October 11, 2025 Posted October 11, 2025 (edited) I also recommend the Steve Eisman podcast, but some episodes are great and others I think so so. With any high frequency (daily) publisher, you will have that issue. Creating 30 min of content every day is hard for a one man show. You will get days where they go in the weeds. The solution is simply cut it short and skip to the next podcast. Edited October 12, 2025 by Spekulatius

So yeah, skip Monday if no interest - Personally, I've skipped the Crypto podcasts.

Definitely worth listening to. David Senra actually kicked off my book buying kick on biographies and business history. "Books are the original hyperlinks"

Well every so often we get more insight as to why Warren (and Charlie) mocked ever hiring consultants. But then again, Ajit Jain was ex-McKinsey, so I'll say it's never 100%
Xerxes Posted November 5, 2025 Posted November 5, 2025 https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/empire/id1639561921?i=1000703759580 If you like East Asian history lore, episode 247 through 255 covers: the tea/chai trade, opium wars, rise of East India Company, the Persis merchants in Gujarat, flow of gold/silver balance of trade between China and Britain, the rise of private merchant class etc Highly recommend. Listening to the podcast, there are various interviews from the author of these books to go through. The first title is not in the podcast but came across it on Amazon as well. The rest I will soon acquire.
ratiman Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 I usually wouldn't post fund manager interviews but Nygren is one of the more intelligent managers. Good discussion of stocks like AirBnb, cable companies, Merck. https://www.listennotes.com/podcasts/the-world/from-book-value-to-brand-DjfbM1zPFE8/
Spekulatius Posted November 8, 2025 Posted November 8, 2025 This is a YouTube episodefrom Christian Rieck about Porsche, the auto business and branding. Whensthepaintdry? Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 (edited) More bearish than usual. Edited November 14, 2025 by Whensthepaintdry?
villainx Posted November 14, 2025 Posted November 14, 2025 Damodaran has to be pretty bearish in general cuz he's tied to historical/academic numbers. But I could be completely wrong since I don't monitor him too closely.
