  1. cheaper oil -> lower inflation -> gold going up?!?! does it this make sense? I don't think so
  2. Excellent points, my fingers are crossed :)
  3. What do you think about the devaluation of the ruble and the risk of default? I really like QIWI's numbers, just haven't digged into how exposed they are (do they lend out?) to the current situation. Obviously earnings will be affected, but apart from that? EDIT: I bought Medallion Financial and Horsehead Holding myself All of those are valid concerns. Hence it's only a 2% position for me. Since its a debit card servicer, its users put money into QIWI, I would think its liabilities would go down if Russia does default or further devalue.
  4. QIWI incredible FCF/ROI and a growth stock that pays dividend?!?!
  5. Me too, I had similar experience. So clueless when opportunities were presented to me, they were always so obvious in retrospect :(
  6. "If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies, Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise"
  7. more NBR, YNDX, USAC
  8. You get into USAC at sub-17.00? I was traveling yesterday and it looks like I missed my opportunity to expand my position at a better price. 12% yield for USAC is a bit ridiculous, unless one thinks that we are no longer going to need oil and gas compression equipment. Yep, thank you for the idea! I think it's priced for a 50% dividend cut.
  9. shhughes1116 thank you so much for the additional insights!
  10. Do you have more opinion on USAC? How are you weighting it in your portfolio (avg, under, or over)? Thanks!
  11. Average up on CBI
  12. NBR and NFX, many energy names are on sales, missed the sharp rally on EOG
  13. Softbank, PCLN, MA
  14. what took you over the edge? technical :D
  15. A pure internet only cable would have far higher margin than the current content + internet ones. In the end of the day, cable companies own the pipe and they will maximize the economic value delivered through their pipes. I view cables as application agnostic. On the other hand, satellites seem have an expiration date.
