I find this interesting Iv looked at Gabriel in the past but not recently. Baupost and Paulson own I think ~35% of company, its huge political issue in Romania but I havent seen much US coverage on it. Gabriel also not covered much by sell side but I think this mine is big asset (if they can drill). I guess this is not investment per say but out of curiosity so I hope I posted in right place. http://www.timescolonist.com/business/gabriel-resources-says-romania-has-ordered-further-study-of-rosia-montana-mine-1.628864 http://blogs.barrons.com/focusonfunds/2013/09/11/gold-company-backed-by-paulson-and-baupost-soars-20/ http://www.valuewalk.com/2013/09/seth-klarman-gold/ http://www.marketfolly.com/2011/06/baupost-group-shows-position-in-gabriel.html?m=0

Appreciate the document, I hope I did not come off as sounding rude. I know someone who got fired for leaking a letter which went viral so Im sensitive to this topic. Thanks for all the great commentary! Cheers. PS I know someone very reliable, cheap, nice and quick who can remove watermarks if anyone is interested DM me.

That document has a watermark on the bottom, unless Im missing something you should take it down or that guy could get in a lot of trouble with his employer.

Thanks so much im looking and finding that info as we speak.

Im going out on a limb here, but I am asking around wondering if anyone has any info on this. I cant say who, but someone very famous is looking to do article on this topic and would be willing to credit anyone who can provide more information (or you can be anonymous). If you have any info or know of someone who might let me know. Please DM me if you have any idea. Thanks! Indy Munger foray into equities several years ago for DJCO. Any thoughts? Has Munger dropped any hints that you’re aware of as to which stocks they bought, or exactly when? If not, do you know of anybody else who might?

Chanos is fan "We are big fans of her work," says James Chanos, one of the loudest negative voices on China. His hedge-fund firm, Kynikos Associates, started placing bets against China in 2009, when Ms. Chu was warning China's debt-led stimulus program, designed to counter the global economic crisis, could build into a debt bubble. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323423804579025353329689102.html I think this is the full GS interview referenced in the article http://www.valuewalk.com/2013/08/charlene-chu-interview-gs-china/

Bruce Berkowitz, a mutual-fund manager with a history of bold bets, is doubling down on a risky wager that the U.S. government ultimately will sell mortgage giants Fannie Mae FNMA +7.32% and Freddie Mac FMCC +9.65% back to private investors. Mr. Berkowitz is reopening his $8 billion Fairholme Fund to look for new investment opportunities, including potentially increasing his stake in Fannie and Freddie, Mr. Berkowitz said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. Mr. Berkowitz said he continues to believe Fannie and Freddie are a "very important element of the U.S. economy" and undervalued. "We haven't found a way to disprove our thesis about Fannie and Freddie," he said. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887324139404579015032274244954.html
