  1. Yup, and add a very healthy dose of uncontrollable crime into the mix - and who the hell wants to rush back to the city. Checkout Chicago - people are now seriously scared to go downtown.
  2. ^ Nice story on Steinhardt. The dude is a way bigger POS than I ever imagined.
  3. Fantastic book - shades of today's LEFT in America. All that matters is power and winning. “ Ideology - that is what gives evildoing its long-sought justification and gives the evildoer the necessary steadfastness and determination.”
  4. ^ Been down in Florida for a month now, till the end of the year. Pretty accurate description - no inventory - and a wall of buyers. Definitely not a bubble. As one of the residents told me - prices are crazy, but the real problem for sellers is - where do you go now?
  5. ^ Hey - nothing like shitting all over Canada in the process!
  6. ^ Such a fool - and his solution is to beg the Saudi's and Russians for lower prices. So much for energy independence.
  7. We have a very good friend, law student, that lived in the Munger dorm at University of Michigan for 2 years. She absolutely loved it and it's true that students fought to get in. Same deal - I think it was 1 window - but the whole facility was awesome.
  8. ^ Holy shit! ...When ridiculous and seemingly outlandish satire becomes reality! What a world we are living in.
  9. ^^ An excellent guide of definitions to all the social justice nonsense. Some of my favorites: Fascism — Anything that is not woke. Can be addressed with beating and shooting. Misogynist — Another word for “man.” Homophobe — Anyone who disagrees — no matter how slightly — with the LGBTQ community. Should be destroyed. Climate Justice — The act of living in mud huts and eating bugs until the cancer of humanity is extinguished and Mother Gaia can live on. Also, any tax can be considered climate justice.
  10. I think you might be pretty new here - and that's fine. Hate to see you get off on the wrong foot. Just a thought for you: Gregmal has helped a lot of people here make a lot of money - that I can personally attest.. So trash him if you like. Especially if it makes you feel better. Most of us won't fall for it. But here's another idea for you: listen to what the dude says. Dig deep to understand his thinking - and you might actually make a lot of money as well. He's been very generous with his thinking. Even with dummies like me. And like Pupil says - high quality contrarian opinions are always welcome.
  11. Bravo GFP. This is an excellent point - and who better to protect Berkshire from a declining Warren than his daughter and son that know how & what their father will want them to do.
  12. More MSGE - 70.35 should have gotten up earlier!
  13. ^ The sign of a great man and a worthy life.
  14. ^ Correct - that is the message of group-think vs individual responsibility that he fights against.
  15. ^ Exactly - they can trash away as they miss the point. The man is brilliant.
  16. ^ Thanks to both of you for the great comments.
  17. ^ Hmmm... a software company selling at 1X sales? That sounds promising. I think I need to check this out.
  18. ^ His group-think message is just as powerful. "I'm a victim, you're my oppressor - therefore, I've no accountability"
  19. ^ It's never been more true. But history teaches many people nothing about tyranny. Step #1: Limit Free Speech.
  20. Yeah, well - if you really want to understand group think, racism, identity politics, transgender issues, anti-semitism, the links between biological predispositions and psychological behavior, and male/female behavior differences - all you need to do is study this guy. And like you say, forget the bullshit the media tries to sell you as propaganda.
  21. The dude has done some fantastic work - and would be well worth many people studying. I did not know so many people were without flaws? and that Peterson was somehow supposed to be perfect? Typical bullshit reactions. You're correct on his discussions of socialism/communism and his debates with many of the morons on the LEFT.
  22. ^ Ha - yeah, so far so good. I do like these guys. It is thinly traded, so the Barons bump was timely. And being an early stage growth company, it's a little tough to value. But they do have some nice initiatives with DFH IPO, perhaps Skyharbor, and the fiber biz. I'm in DFH too - and it's a little painful. They dumped a good % of holdings - but hey, they're smarter than me! I hope I get another shot at BOMN! Will let you know.
