  1. ^^^ I was looking at the balance sheet - and thinking somewhat the same. Bulletproof, but no leverage, hardly any liabilities. What's your take on that? Not like the typical real estate investor?
  2. ^^^ Was reading up the investor materials last night - really is a pretty unique asset with recurring revenue. Looks like it will just take some patience.
  3. ^^ Nothing like quarter end window dressing!
  4. ^^ That's hilarious - I did the same after exiting APTS this week. Just kept hitting the PCYO ask, and here I thought it was gonna be hard to buy with the thin trading!
  5. ^^^ Remind me not to screw with you! That's awesome.
  6. Fortunately for us in the US - we're about to see a great reset with the November election. The middle & lower classes are sick of outrageous inflation, ridiculous taxes, green policies that apply only to them & not the yacht/private jet crowd, and more bureaucrats telling them what to do - like wearing masks all day long. We ought to get back to a place where we're energy independent again and people actually want to work, instead of being paid to stay home. As you say, the middle class is being pummeled here, as they are being told to be happy with sacrificing for energy sustainability, apartment living and taking the bus/train - whilst the assholes in the tech, media, elites & politicians - have 3 or 4 mansions and fly first class. Not to mention the jerkoffs that love open borders that are now wrecking the Southwest and fueling crime in the rest of the country. No skin off Zuckerberg, Pelosi or Bill Gates's back when you have police escort everywhere & walls/gates higher than any border wall. Out-of-control crime has no impact on you.. At least in the US - the toxic Davos crowd is about to get the boot - and we'll be able to get back to a life that worked very well for the middle class for the last 100 years instead of this disaster. More hard work, accountability, meritocracy and far less virtue signaling bullshit from the Hollywood/Silicon Valley wine & cheese crowd & incompetent elites.
  7. ^^^ Quite an interesting post - and explains a lot about NG storage considerations. Good to have you around!
  8. ^^^ Oh my god, talk about a brain turned to mush... This is actually funny. Tell us more about Biden's wonderful evacuation of Afghanistan. Please....tell us how it wasn't a total debacle... You mean where he left the Taliban with tens of billions worth of the most sophisticated arms in the world? Those arms that he might have been able to provide to the Ukrainians? Yeah, who am I to criticize the man who just make the Taliban world's largest terrorist army! Thanks for the Friday laughs though....
  9. ^^^ Lots of good or bad things can happen when you are the world's swing producer. Maybe we actually learned something from being under the thumb of OPEC and the Saudi's for years - don't you think? By innovation or sheer luck, the USA found itself in this very lucky position to be the world's largest producer of oil. And while the Europeans were shutting down coal plants, nuclear plants, etc, etc - they make a tragic mistake in putting their energy future in the hands of a very, very bad actor. It's pretty damn clear to me, at least, that Putin clearly understood the importance of energy as an essential component of American strategic power. That President Biden did not, is a tragedy for all. Say all you like about NATO membership being the primary reason. My opinion is Europe made a deal with the devil - and Biden's Afghanistan utter disaster convinced Putin - It's NOW or NEVER.
  10. ^^^ What's hilarious is that you don't think that this administration is responsible for high energy prices. Now that is really rich. Just keep kidding yourself. Joe owns this one, just like he owns his Green New Deal.
  11. ^^^^ Yeah, pretty much arrogance is the right description. You think these people give a rat's ass about $6/gal gas for Joe & Mary Sixpack? Not a chance. Here is John Kerry - Putin's useful idiot - and what he had to say: “Equally importantly,” Kerry complained, “you’re going to lose people’s focus,” as if the first invasion of a sovereign European country since the Second World War is an annoying distraction. Hopefully, Kerry continued, Putin would realize that Russia’s land is thawing, and the people of Russia are at risk. Kerry hopes Putin “will help us to stay on track with respect to what we need to do for the climate.”
  12. ^^^^ Yeah, thanks for helping make the point. Trump knew he could hurt Putin & Iran badly by having the USA become energy independent. Trump wouldn't make the colossal mistake that the Europeans did by outsourcing their energy independence to the Russians. Major fuck up. Putin certainly feared lower global oil prices initiated by Trump. Thankfully for Putin, Joe Biden was more than happy to accommodate Russian aggression by driving oil prices back up.
  13. You just got to love Obama's show of strength against Russia. Once the Russians stepped over Obama's 'Red Line' in Crimea - the Ukrainians begged the President for arms. So Obama gave them MRE's & Blankets. The Ukrainian President told the US Congress: "One can not win a war with blankets" And of course, you all know the rest of story. One of President Trump's first executive actions was delivering Javelin Anti-Tank missiles to Ukraine. Those same missiles that are knocking out Russian tanks left and right. And of course, Biden, just dithers, until humiliated into action by the rest of the world. Let's hope it's not too late to save Ukraine.
  14. ^^^ Certainly, Putin was terrified of Trump. He knew Obama was a pussy and a pushover with his phony red lines. All the convincing Putin needed was to see Soleimani get smoked by a US drone. Then he sees his Wagner group proxies get annihilated in Syria. That's all the proof that Putin needed to see. He's not dumb. He knew that Trump was totally UNPREDICTABLE and Obama/Biden were totally predictable. Nothing like telegraphing to your enemies what you won't do - fools like Biden & Obama do that.
  15. I don't think this has too much to do with American imperialism - but more an opportunistic Putin. Putin had Europe over a fucking barrel because of energy. This guy is no dummy. So the Europeans give up their energy independence to the Russians in the name of climate change. Bad, bad move. Now you're fucked if the dictator makes a move. It was obvious the Europeans were scared of their situation and NOT united AT ALL against Putin's coming moves. This guy is smart and can sense weakness. Then you add in the fact that the US is run by a corrupt clown that totally fucked up Afghanistan. So your primary worry - Trump is gone. Would Putin have made a move against Trump? No fucking way. But Biden just opened the door for Putin's move with a total humiliation of the US Armed Forces. Is Biden gonna want to get involved in another disaster? Not very likely. He's got disaster after disaster at home.. So for Putin - it's now or never. Nothing to do with joining NATO, etc. It's much simpler - you see Europe in disarray, and the mighty, mighty US run by a clown who created his own shit-show. So today is the day to make your move on Ukraine. I don't think it's any more complicated than that.
  16. ^^ James - don't beat your head against the wall with this guy. He's got all the "facts" cast in concrete. There is no other reasonable explanation. You too need to go back to repeat geography and history. Obviously, you just don't get it.
  17. Changegonnacome - I mean, you're the authority here - why quit now?? Aren't you even gonna give us your "Geography is Destiny" speech again? How about another lecture from you on the new world order? I can't wait. Those pompous asses at the Brookings Institute are waiting for another know-it-all like you. But, in the meantime, we here at CoBF are really honored with you on point analysis....
  18. ^^^ Hey Changegonnacome - I really don't need your geography or world history lessons. Thanks anyway. Sorry I don't ascribe to your idiotic viewpoint. Maybe you should apply for a job at the Brookings Institute since you are the expert here? Last I checked - Russia invaded Ukraine. Simple enough. Russia already has the eastern provinces & Crimea that are heavily Russian - and perhaps are very happy about being part of Russia. Seem simple too. And Putin feels threatened by the rest of Ukraine and it's Europe-leaning. So he decides to invade and fucks up. That's pretty clear. Like Spec said - the Russian Blitzkrieg failed. So now he's turning the place to rubble if he can't control it. NATO is not an invader that threatens Russia. NATO membership would be there to protect Ukraine if invaded. Looks like that's a too late. All you have proved with your stupid comments is that Putin is a paranoid thug that a lot of countries need protection from - and we are somehow supposed to excuse/understand his actions - like it matters what his actual reason was. Not really my problem you're so full of yourself.
  19. ^^ Schiff - the boy who cried wolf way too many times. His tweet was disgusting. What a fucking elitist.
  20. ^^This is totally right. Putin just wants Ukraine, not because of NATO, but because it's becoming too close to Europe. NATO is not out to overthrow Russia and Putin knows that. NATO is in place precisely to defend against Russian aggression. Putin thought taking over Ukraine would be a cakewalk and he fucked up.
  21. ^^. Eh, just remember - around here - a sense of humor is required. Things have vastly improved from a couple years ago.
  22. Oh, yeah - I have NO frickin idea what's gonna happen. You have our hapless President, etc. and a bunch of cowardly NATO countries finally waking up, and the Chinese in the background... who the fuck knows. But I'm definitely pulling for the Wabuffo scenario.
  23. That's a real stretch. Leaders need to take care of their populations FIRST. If standards of living are rising rapidly and somewhat evenly - countries are generally stable. Putin's move is all about EGO - his ego. That he feels threatened by the West is an indication of the failure of his regime to give the average Russian a better life. Putin is not running the country for the benefit of his people - only for his own legacy. You're witnessing a tragic miscalculation by Putin.
  24. One could argue that these Western values and systems are what Putin is afraid of and what made him attack. Those values are not compatible with Russian history and culture. Will it be different with China? The only thing wrong with this view is that the West is not expansionary regimes. They are not looking to invade other countries and occupy them forever. If Putin's Russia is afraid of the West rising standard of living - yeah - that is a threat to Putin. He always should have been looking out for his own people than run his country like the Mafia.
