Phaceliacapital Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Since when did it get changed to the John Lennon song?? http://scioncapital.com/ Wtf?
Palantir Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Maybe he's sending us a message. What does the Jedi Council of Value Investing say?
Phaceliacapital Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 http://scioncapitalgroup.com/ still works, strange
lessthaniv Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 read the lyrics in the context of him closing the doors to outside investors ...
valueinvesting101 Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 read the lyrics in the context of him closing the doors to outside investors ... +1
Phaceliacapital Posted May 9, 2013 Author Posted May 9, 2013 Yeah of course but those doors were closed almost six years ago, I know the site worked a couple of weeks ago so just pondering as to what made him change it to the clip :)
marodq Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 read the lyrics in the context of him closing the doors to outside investors ... Yup, this makes sense.
indythinker85 Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I see he updates it time to time but anyone have idea if there is any schedule or anything? Or do i have to just check bad every few days?
DukeCrow Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 The old site is still in Google's cache. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fscioncapital.com&aq=f&oq=cache%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fscioncapital.com&aqs=chrome.0.57j58&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8&hl=en-US&espv=1 And it still looks like you can directly access his first 5 letters. http://www.scioncapital.com/index__letters.html
rmoney Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Whoever is operating the Scion Capital site is probably reading this site. Every time we put a link up it gets changed... I can understand Michael's frustration with his LP's but I loved reading his letters and watching his talks. Please teach/share more!!
DukeCrow Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Then you better check this website quick before it gets changed, too ;) http://scioncapital.org/
Palantir Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Whoever is operating the Scion Capital site is probably reading this site. Who are the prime suspects?
CorpRaider Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 I caught the bloomberg risk takers program on Burry, it was pretty entertaining check it out. If you have netflix, they apparently added a bunch of bloomberg programs to the streaming catalog recently.

If you have netflix, they apparently added a bunch of bloomberg programs to the streaming catalog recently. No need my friend. Watch it free on Bloomberg.com http://www.bloomberg.com/video/72756316-michael-burry-profiled-bloomberg-risk-takers.html and here is the link to other "risk takers." It's a great show. I hope they have more new episodes soon. http://www.bloomberg.com/video/risk-takers/
ragnarisapirate Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Thanks for the heads up on the netflix shows... watching now. Did anyone capture anything from the Scion website? It's down now... :(
CorpRaider Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Yeah, they also added the gamechangers one to the nflx library for people who are interested. I started watching the one about Henry Kravis last night. Had no idea he was from an oil family and was born in Tulsa, Ok (I think). I always had some vague notion that he was brittish, probably based on the actor who played him in barbarians at the gate. hah!
fareastwarriors Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 http://scionasset.com/ That's interesting he's back to managing money. I hope his letters get posted somehow.
jhcap Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 It will be interesting to see if he has to file with the SEC. I would love to follow his investments. If he is taking outside investor's money I have no doubt that his AUM would exceed the limit for reporting to the SEC. If he is only using Scion as a family office, he may not have to report.

I'm guessing he has a big macro trade that he can deploy LOTS of capital into. Maybe japan collapse, inflation, another financial crisis..
