onyx1 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Profoundly inspirational. Thank you for posting this. A great man who leads by example alone. It is interesting to me that his only misstep was when he stepped into an area that involved politics, but he recognized it and quickly closed down that chapter.
bookie71 Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Good timing, I started reading the book yesterday. Thanks for posting
Liberty Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Feeney is an inspiration, both as a philanthropist and as a businessman. We have a thread about the book here: http://www.cornerofberkshireandfairfax.ca/forum/books/the-billionaire-who-wasn't-conor-o'clery/
Shane Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I love hearing about these inspirational business related stories. Thank you.

He has nothing left now—and he couldn’t be happier.
coc Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 Chuck Feeney...a great, great inspiration. Wonderful story.
ValueArb Posted October 11, 2023 Posted October 11, 2023 I read his bio to my kids yesterday, quite an inspirational guy who shows you can accomplish great things if you put your mind to it, and not to let wealth become chains.
Blugolds Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Missed news that he passed, RIP, I read the book probably 4-5 years ago, good easy read and very interesting. Was a remarkable guy and I enjoyed the book, never let the money change him.
Sweet Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Takes a rare person to not let money change them. Very humble and never did it for attention or acclaim. Role model for sure.
Xerxes Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Unsaid is the multiplier-effect that his work had with the Giving Pledge.
