seshnath
I really like the CEO, and would love to buy stock in this company. I think the Israel move will be a success. http://www.charlierose.com/view/content/11323 I have been following this guy and better place for some time since I heard a TED talk - concept is interesting. Parsad
Electric car group Better Place files for bankruptcy. "Better Place burnt through hundreds of millions of dollars of investors’ cash, but only managed sales in the low four digits." Better place...gone to a better place I suppose! Unfortunately, it took along hundreds of millions in investor capital. Cheers!

John Hjorth
This was one of the business headlines here in Denmark yesterday. From what I have read locally, I did not understand that the parent was filing for bankruptcy also: One among many : http://borsen.dk/nyheder/virksomheder/artikel/1/258507/better_place_gaar_konkurs.html [Hint: In Danish, please use i.e. Google translate and copy & paste if you are not familiar with Scandinavian languages]. Guest wellmont
I don't think electric cars are his thing. byd was a special case. and it's tiny investment for them.
Edward
Rough I saw this yesterday. Confirms his preference for slow and boring, makes you wonder about BYD... This sounded like a great business plan, but I guess they always do. BYD is a commodity battery manufacturer. I have no idea about their management. The whole business of electric vehicles is a tiny sideshow for them, they made an awful hybrid and some half decent petrol cars. Currently they are making electric buses and not electric cars apparently.
