John Hjorth Posted January 23, 2025 Posted January 23, 2025 Amazon : Buffett and Munger Unscripted: Three Decades of Investment and Business Insights from the Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder Meetings Subtitle : Three Decades of Investment and Business Insights fromthe Berkshire Hathaway Annual Shareholder Meetings. Release date : January 21st 2025. [I personally got my copy here in Denmark today from saxo.com, after preordering it there a few months ago]. - - - o 0 o - - - It's not a book in the ordinary sence, more like a compilation of approximately 500 questions and answers from the Berkshire Hathaway arranged and sorted by topics. There is to me personally no doubt, that part six and the appendix in the book must be gold for an investor not alreaday with any knowledge about investing in the global insurance space.
Maverick47 Posted January 25, 2025 Posted January 25, 2025 Thanks for letting us know this is available @John Hjorth! I placed my order today and should receive it soon. Looking forward to it…
John Hjorth Posted January 25, 2025 Author Posted January 25, 2025 Thank you, @Maverick47, It - the book - may have even great appeal to some CofB&F members, while to other members perhaps not so much. Each to their own.

This is a great addition to my personal library, and the author, Alex Morris, has done his readers an invaluable service in collecting and organizing decades of questions and answers in the manner he has done. Similar to the way in which Lawrence Cunningham organized Buffett’s Chairmen’s letters….

Here, just ment here as a teaser for other CofB&F members : Part Six : The insurance Business [starting p. 227], & Appendix : The Right Way To Run An Insurance Company [starting p. 467]. - - - o 0 o - - - That said, I'm personally a great fan of Lawrence Cunninghams books, too! - - - o 0 o - - - Does there even exist a good book about the insurance industry? - How it works, its inner economic mechanics, reinsurance etc. ? I am personally not aware of any.
Spooky Posted May 12, 2025 Posted May 12, 2025 I'm about a third of the way through this and I'm really enjoying it. Nuggets of gold on each page! Also, it saved me from having to go back over a huge volume of annual meeting transcripts myself.
Trophicdynamics Posted August 22, 2025 Posted August 22, 2025 This is the next book I'm gonna read. I have gone through as lot of video footage of the meetings as well. I wonder if there is any older wisdom that I might have missed.
