What's the source?  the fact that California is not on there is suspect.  Although then it might be > 50%

The way the chart is structured, to three coherent areas, including California would add a fourth region, instead of the three already colored on the map. Statistics, you know : 'Play with it, untill it shows what you want it to show'.
