This investigation has depressed shares: https://www.thalesgroup.com/en/group/investors/press_release/press-release They want EBIT margins of 13-14% by 2028, but looks like they haven't achieved close to that in 20 years. I guess it'll all come from cybersecurity growth ??? Why is there no thread on Thales ?
Dalal.Holdings Posted January 10 Posted January 10 150 "experts" in Brussels hard at work The European Commission is an absolute joke
Spekulatius Posted January 12 Posted January 12 AFD wants to scrap all wind turbines and restart Nordstream 2. Getting some Goebbels vibes here: https://youtu.be/aWERPKwy2sw?si=z5Nzo5BPEO6NtsX_
thowed Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) @james22 I'm not going to watch that video above, because it's obvious clickbait, but ffs, with all due respect, I don't know what makes you think stuff like this is appropriate? I've lived in the UK all my life, and have travelled around the world, and London remains a world-class city. Of course it's not perfect, but neither is anywhere else, especially in the US. I just don't see how this is helpful here. That sort of stuff is for Twitter, not for this board. Thank you. Edited January 12 by thowed
Lazarus Posted January 12 Posted January 12 The thread is about the investability of europe, and this is an interview between the world's most successful businessman and a potential leader of the biggest economy in Europe. Why wouldn't it be 'appropriate'? You sound like a leftist boomer stifling free speech.

I assume it's understood (as the resident MSTR fanboy), I'm posting about the follow-up tweet. And it's a little funny. Lighten up. 2. And also true - one doesn't read many good things about London lately that would make one want to invest there. That should be helpful to know. You especially.

Dalal.Holdings Posted January 12 Posted January 12 The biggest problem Europe faces: Europeans who can't even acknowledge that they have problems that they supported & voted for
Charlie Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Weidel is saying in the video (30 minutes) that during Covid vaccination and wearing a mask was a bluff or a scam. I mean when someone is saying something like this, how can you take her serious?

Spekulatius Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) If the AFD wins and Weiden would make Germany uninvestible, imo, it is relevant. She sometimes talks pretty smooth but in other times, she talks like Goebbels (see my link above). I really don’t get why she want Germany to become dependent on Putin again. I think she is chasing for votes in East Germany, where the Putin crush is alive again. Go figure. I am old enough to have travelled the DDR on the 80‘s and there were a lot of people who were telling us (our outfits gave you away as a West German) and many really gave us an unsolicited opinion how much they liked the Russian occupants at that time (Russian soldiers were pretty present these days). I suggest some should re- emigrate to Russia if they like it so much. Edited January 12 by Spekulatius
Charlie Posted January 12 Posted January 12 AFD (Weidel) and "Die Linke" are against everything. That is the way they get votes. I am not sure which role is Musks in this game. Probably he wants that Germany decrease taxes that Tesla makes more profit or he wants to weaken Germany with this AFD shit.

He is also meddling in Romania, bolstering the candidate associated with Putin apparently. He never met an autocrat he didn’t like.

Recently I wanted to test drive a Tesla and the sales people at the telephone said I had to bring a credit card with me. I asked why. He said if I like the car I can pay 250 Euro upfront with the credit card and the rest later. I am pretty sure Elon Musk is using Mungers Psychology of Human Misjudgment for impulsive car selling tactics. That was probably the main reason Musk wanted to meet Munger.
