Does anyone have a view on some of these sport betting companies such as draftkings or flutter entertainment?

I think Draftkings looks interesting if they can keep their revenue growing for several more years.

I don’t know much about the products, never used them.  Basically a bet on increasing degeneracy, not sure how I feel about that as an investment strategy.

Just my view but I think the gambling market isn't as developed in the US as compared to the UK, so it still has lots to grow, plus there are lots of other new markets to go after, such as south America.

It's also quite a heavily regulated industry, which will keep others out and should consolidate into a few keep players flutter being one of them

If you think the McAfee Software story was weird, just watch the first 5 minutes of this documentary about one of the founders of DHL.

Fascinating. Net assets of 52.6M, current market cap 644M. An easy 10x. People probably don't even know what they are buying, paying for 1000% future growth upfront.

As of December 31, 2023:
https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1843974/000139834424005739/fp0087134-2_ncsr.htm

Net Asset Value Per Share

Net assets applicable to Common Shareholders

  $ 52,623,533

Common Shares of beneficial interest outstanding, at $0.00001 par value; 500,000,000 shares authorized, 10,879,905 shares issued and outstanding

    10,879,905

Net Asset Value Per Share applicable to Common Shareholders

  $ 4.84

DXYZ is at it again, up 50% today, at times trading above $40. NAV on 6/30 was a whopping $5.15, shares outstanding unchanged. They seem to have trouble with their shareholder meeting, postponing it several times. Last SEC filing:

"I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to inform you that unfortunately, we were unable to meet the quorum requirements for our annual meeting of shareholders scheduled for October 28, 2024. As a result, we have made the decision to reschedule the meeting to November 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time."

Anyone ever think about these?

I think they are all types of funds that sell calls on the stocks within the indices or the indices themselves.

I’ve looked at some other covered call ETFs but kept away because I just feel they are a blowup risk.

Fascinated on the topic, so thanks for sharing the video. Fun to watch!

However I'm not sure the women on dating sites (where they have to be very selective) are representative for society.

For example in video he says that women are more selective on Tinder vs. OKCupid and he links it to being more selective for casual fun, while probably they need to be more selective as they have x times more candidates than chances to go on a date.

From the 2 minutes of research I did it would appear that the 12%+ difference between the YTD returns on the S&P 500 and the DJIA might be the largest ever (or at least in a very long time).  Trying to figure out what the takeaway from that should be.  Historically there's been almost lockstep reversion in these.  Is it likely that the DJIA outperforms over the coming year(s) or is this the new normal as the Mag 7 continue to dominate?

$NVDA is the answer, I think.

And the rate of decrease for the 40-54 crowd, yikes.
