muscleman
Didn't we just have two trillion dollar bills already this year? Now the 3rd one coming. When Bill Clinton requested a 20 Bn stimulus 20 years ago, he probably would have never thunk of the day when politicians easily talk about trillions and trillions. Spekulatius
This is infrastructure too: Hopefully there is some money left.
no_free_lunch
I don't believe the infrastructure bill had a defense component to it. The main criticism I have heard is only one quarter is being spent on anything resembling infrastructure. There are hundreds of billions earmarked to improve wages for health care workers, surely a worthy goal but in my mind mislabeled. The money being spent on R&d is very questionable , in particular when I compare what spaceX has done vs the black hole that is NASA. The thing that should probably concern us most is the buy America provisions. Edited July 15, 2021 by no_free_lunch
muscleman
Last October I saw a youtuber's analysis that if Biden wins, everything will resemble China from 2008-2020. So far he is absolutely on track. One Trillion dollar bill per quarter.
Guest
I don't think there's much worse for a country than to have a (seemingly) endless amount of "free" money.

It seems like this administration believes that all problems could be solved by throwing out money.
