  1. I buy on coinbase then move it to a wallet. I have no intention of changing my BTC back to Fiat for a long time.
  2. Indeed, many of the indicators that I've seen also say that 12-13K is very likely. But I just keep adding on all dips.
  3. Im still buying bitcoin.
  4. Progress... However 75% of the appeal of crypto to me is that I own it. I dont hold any of my crypto on exchanges. While Fidelity is a name you can "trust" I still want to own my own crypto. I want to transact in BTC. Cant do that with holding that cant leave the exchange. *edit* format
  5. Wisdom at its finest!
  6. +1 I also pay for tikr.com - Great tool for the price. I also pay for seekingalpha - Whenever I am learning about a company I like to read through the history of articles and see both bear and bull takes on a company. I prefer the subjective reading on a company at seeking alpha and analyze numbers within Tikr.com
  7. No issues with gay's here. Just commenting that there was a lot of gay undertones. It didn't make or break the show. Likely Sandman would have been just as good without them. I find most shows include unnecessary sexual content just because they can.
  8. also watched this - I enjoyed it, but I felt the LGBT tones were a little strong and over played. Id watch another season but if it didn't happen I wouldn't miss it.
  9. This literally drives me bat shit crazy... I spent a stupid amount of time trying to find some 3 letter ticket symbol comments that i had seen previously the other day. best way to do 3 letter tickers is go to google type site:thecobf.com/forum "tiker" and use googles search capabilities. Far from ideal. @Parsad if theres anything to recommend for the forum that I think is highly relevant its this search functionality. for a "stock" related forum its really frustrating to flat out not be able to search a 3 letter ticker. on day to day checking i usually hit Activity and scroll through all the recent activity. Edit: i hit publish to quick...
  10. Co-worker tried to convince me to gamble some money on BBBY. He got 143% in 2 days and took his money off the table.
  11. About 5 years ish prior to that he was all in ETF's Mutual funds. - Hes tracked slightly better than the S&P since starting the strategy. He likes that he feels more connected to the companies hes invested in vs the feeling of broad indexing. He sold out of baba when Charlie sold half.
  12. @jokaMy father does what you describe. It has worked reasonably well for him. He got ripped on BABA, but has had a lot of success with the strategy. You will still always need to have a portion of your own conviction/thought. He follows a handful of managers that align closely with his lines of thinking and longer term holding. I do notice he gets wishy washy on new holdings that flounder but overall its worked out for him. He uses me as a sounding board on most of his investments. I do a lot more bottom up analysis but like to use 13Fs for ideas. I like looking for peoples Ideas that have declined since the 13F reporting / publication lag. Looking at other investors ideas is a great starting filter. They purchased the company for a reason. If they bought it to early can I buy it once its reached closer to the bottom? assuming there is not a fundamental deterioration of the overall business?
  13. He's bought and sold GEO a couple times now... Definitely trading it based on valuation / technicals.
  14. Yes, With the exception of the housing bubble. I have followed quite a few of his trades and I bet his performance is better than people anticipate. He's a smart dude and doesn't give 2 shits what anyone else thinks.
  15. @Jaygo Where at on superior? My wife and I kayaked to the apostle islands and camped a few years back then did some of the south west shore by Duluth. It really is pretty country up there.
  16. This is how I felt with the Jason Bourne movies. So far from the books and the books were so much better....
  17. Watching "the sandman" on Netflix. Its unique fantasy.
  18. MU 48% ALCO 14% Crypto (BTC / AVAX) 9% PFIE 8% EAF 6% Penny Stocks 5% BABA 4% Other 6%
  19. Bumping this from long ago. @Gregmal What was your opinion on GLDD? I am looking at this after the big hit they took this month. I like the big barriers to entry and the mentioned issues in the conference call seem temporary to me. Curious what you uncovered when you looked back in 2020.
  20. This isn't the first I've heard of this impending "global food crisis" My opinion is that there will be areas that could be heavily impacted. But the US will likely be largely unaffected. Maybe some extreme inflation in certain foods. Its possible other areas of the world with less resources could feel the pressure of a global food shortage. I regularly think about how how fragile the global ecosystem is. Without the global capitalistic economy we would struggle to feed the 7B people on the planet. I try not to dwell on it and remain bullish that humanity will adapt and overcome any major shortages. Humanity is pretty good at working together for good. (except when we aren't).
  21. I'm with @rkbabang & @Viking on this one. To me its just like capitalism. Immigration may have consequences "Lower wages, higher traffic, higher stress on environment, higher rent and housing prices, higher economic inequality which leads to all sorts of social problems." But to offset those there are many positives that end up balancing out in the end and tipping the scales in a positive direction. Immigrants often have more desire and hunger for success and opportunity and while they may require up front assistance they tend to be good overall.
  22. It does feel good I was buying btc under 20k. I do think it's premature to say we're gonna hold up though. Still may collapse again. Hope you didn't lose to much in celcius.
  23. LOL made me think of this old video
