  1. Why does every sentence fit the MAGA-narrative so perfectly?
  2. The "Rationale" could have been written by Viking.
  3. Exactly my thoughts. Every. Single. Day.
  4. Who cares about role models when you have a President that made egg prices drop by 400%! What a beast! Right?
  5. "Folks, let me tell you, Elon—he’s a smart guy, okay, but he’s gone totally off the rails. Sad! He used to be a friend, a good friend, but now he’s making big mistakes. Huge mistakes! He doesn’t get it, folks. I know success, I know winning, and let me tell you, he’s not winning anymore. He’s wrong, very wrong, and people are saying it. Everyone’s saying it. Believe me, I know better than anyone." - Donald (probably) The Elon-League of Legends story with the YouTuber Asmongold always comes to my mind. I love it. When the amount of contradictions reaches a point of no return the implosion is imminent. Don`t know how far we have come here but it sure was fast. I did not expect this to happen so quickly.
  6. May I ask how many different stock positions you have?
  7. It was a beautiful call. There has never been a call like this before. I don`t think it ever happened in history.
  8. I was thinking of this lately. Since you and I are both located in northern Germany we both face the issue called taxes (~26,375% on Dividends, capital gains etc.) which cannot be avoided. They cannot by bypassed. I have also been heavily invested in FFH for some time now. However not all of my funds are. Especially when operating with taxable accounts it is most desirable to be invested in companies or ETFs for the long-term. That is without the intention to sell anytime soon. So what you are looking for is a Berkshire Hathaway/good index fund for the coming decades because taxes disrupt the compounding machine massively. The urge to invest in undervalued securities, analyze them etc. is pretty strong in me because it`s just so much fun to keep learning about it and because the rewards can be significant. But it`s not the most rationale thing to do if you are dealing with the German tax system disrupting compounding every time you have to sell and if you have long-term alternatives (perhaps FFH for example). This is why I was thinking of shifting everything into FFH 100%. I am relatively young and I keep justifying this approach with Munger advising us to grab opportunities such as these fiercely. But I am yet undecided....
  9. In the european session nobody seems to care about Q1 results so far
  10. Hi Parsad, so you are no advocate for going all in at all? For instance when you come across an undervalued comapany like you yourself did with Fairfax a few years back ("swinging big")? FOMO hits even harder for undervalued companies than for fairly companies.
  11. Not sure if you want to go down that path mate. I don´t know the parameters laid out in whatever studies you are referring to (because they matter a lot here). Especially as to how it was measured. IQ is tied to the word "intelligence". But there are several forms of intelligence (social intelligence, analytical intelligence etc.). You are running in danger of terrible generalization to my mind.
  12. I don`t know where we are from hereon. I only know that the Buffett indicator is still too high, that I am confident with my one position in FFH, that I have 25% cash now, that volatility is crazy high and that I can only wait. Any criticism on my view would be appreciated.
  13. How does Apple make such a big rebound though China got hit with even higher tariffs?
  14. My net worth is not even six figures but I am all in on BRK and FFH. I suppose the red figures do have an impact on ones psychology after all. Independent of how much you are worth. But I trust the management and keep adding monthly.
  15. Thank you. Your work is of invaluable help for my understanding. Many insights that make me understand more and more.
  16. Thank you. Listening to this right now.
  17. Thank you.
  18. What do you think speaks against the possibility of the stock moving further south? Especially in times of (a tiny bit at least) turmoil?
  19. Interesting way. Might do it myself, only with less shares
  20. How many orders do you have in place? Why not wait for a bigger pullback and then make a bigger order?
  21. Interesting stories. How old are the users on this board? Has there been a survey in the recent past? You all had very interesting opportunities in your life it seems. I am 31, so not that many (at least) yet Or I was too stupid to see.
  22. Hello everyone, does anyone have recommendations on how to determine a multiple when valuing a company? I have seen several calculations when valuing companies but I can`t figure out how the multiple was determined in the first place. Perhaps there have been topics created in the past on this matter? Thank you.
  23. Is nobody concerned about the high yields? Seems too good to be true almost. 13,5% and 9,5% is crazy high to my mind. But they will have secured a good margin of safety on this I suppose...
  24. +1 Adding Munger`s remark to never underestimate a man that overestimates himself. Considering all the arbitrariness that goes on with Tesla stock I don`t understand how anyone can consider this to be a good investment by now. This is even hardly a good speculation anymore (depending on the context of course) but just gambling. Look at the change in price within just a few months since the election. Fundamentals can`t change that fast or at least did not change that fast for Tesla. Everyone I know that is talking about Tesla stock has no idea of their fundamentals nor do they have a solid understanding of what investing is at all (meaning they have no proper definition at hand). The world is going crazy. Dogmatism is the safest way to fanaticism. Edit: Look up the story about the YouTuber Asmongold and Elon Musk on YouTube or Wikipedia. Elon Musk shouts his insecurity into the world.
