Smazz replied to Liberty's topic in General Discussion
Liberty, I actually came across that when i was looking at some other housing stuff. I noticed the link was seekingalpha when i saved it though i didnt get it directly from Seeking Alpha. What i did do is go to that guys site trendlines.ca but i cannot find that graph there now - can only find it from the google search for it. -

ran across this from a seekingalpha contribution - for us GreatWhiteNortherners.. ??? http://static.seekingalpha.com/uploads/2010/3/25/205992-126949629797884-Freddy-Hutter--TrendLines-Research_origin.png -
She probably doesnt need a man right now.. in the sense that - she probably has her pick, is having fun, is young bright obviously successful. I would say its more her not being taken- im sure she has more than enough suitors.

Im not sure about that Al. From what Im hearing it seems like alot of the same talk that was going on in the Toronto Civics. I voted for this guy before but damn, his constant taxation of everything that moves is too much for alot of people. Having said that, the alternatives are just as shitty! I dont know - going to be another interesting time.

Damn you Carl ;D

The bloc may be down, but the sentiment behind the bloc is still there. This is not the first time Quebecers have strategically moved party loyalties en masse. Duceppe himself says that the flirtation with the Federal NDP is Canada's last chance to decentralize federal powers to Quebec. This was an anti-Harper vote ... his vision of Canada does not jive with what Quebecers want which is a democratic socialist society along the lines of the European democracies. As Harper shoves his neo-con agenda down Quebec's throat, the flames of separatism will be stoked. I remember Harper saying back when that it makes sense for Quebec to be separate. We shall see what transpires here. Whatever it is we wont have to wait long if there is another movement though. IMO i dont think Quebecors are naiive enough to think they can have socialism and at the same time be a fairly equal part of Canada. Its one or the other.
-
That basically sums it up right there. If not more evident than what happened in Quebec. "The Bloc is dead - LONG LIVE CANADA!" ;D
-
If you really felt that way you would have stayed out of the thread. HAving said that, I think i lost some sleep over the results. This is the man btw, that thought it was a good idea to follow the states blindly into Iraq. Im not leaving anything to "the experts" as they are expert in nothing - thats why they are in politics. Most cant do anything else/.

I'm willing to guess that no one on this board has spent their entire lives next to a reserve. My Friend lives in a new subdivision in Caledonia.. from his back yard, he could see the Native Flag from that blockade they had going. I had visited his house - turn left exactly at the street that was blocked.

From what I've read, it was an assumption on the part of the US government/military. They didn't actually ask any of the governments whether this in fact was the case. And like I said earlier, the US effectively controls the government of Afghanistan, for example, so that explanation is somewhat nonsensical. Which part is non sensical? That they were supposed to demand Afghanistan accepts the body of the guy who ran tyranny over them? What your implying would be acting like a banana republic. It has been stated that they did talk to other governments. They just stated they wouldnt disclose which ones they were talking to and with all this, how do you propose them to manage moving the body to another country and have him buried within 24 hrs of his death? Considering they had to ensure through DNA tests it was in fact him.
-
The "quick burial" part was not of the US choosing - that was the Muslim religion. To get him back to the US and bury him there, even if they wanted to probably wouldnt have been manageable strictly from a logistics stand point. But really, the US is not going to want to have his body on their soil. That would be a no win situation for anyone. I think how they handled this was acceptable.
-
As per Muslim law he had to be buried in 24 hrs and it has been stated no available countrys (or acceptable) were prepared to accept his body. The killing was warranted as a previous killer of many innocent - the insult of burial as per muslim beliefs would not have been thats why they stayed the course on that.

LOOK OUT! HERE COME THE CONSPIRACY THEORISTS!!!!! :o

That is so true - but to be brutally honest, and I know alot of people are not going to like this but half the problem was how Bush and his administration handled the situation. When Bush left office they admitted they had no clue where Bin Laden was and his actions leading into the war on terror were rediculous and so costly in terms of lives not only $. Surprisingly Frank, (in Canada we have an election today y'know ;)) the CBC asked all Canadian Party Leaders what their biggest mistake has been since being leader of their party and our current PM - Harper, stated it was his declaration at the time that Canada should follow the US into Iraq. This was a surprisingly candid statement to make just days before his own election - I honestly didnt think he would own up to this at this point in the election.

Unfortunately they are not.. have you seen the new Sun News station? Oh baby.. how can some of those people look themselves in the mirror in the morning before going to work.

A Canadian held the distance record for a while. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longest_recorded_sniper_kills#Confirmed_kills_1.2C250.C2.A0m_.281.2C367.C2.A0yd.29_or_greater yea, it was for quite a while but i thought they still hold the record for training type shot distance.

A mansion in Islamabad. And they said was a bullet to the head from a fire fight. Honest question here: What will the U.S. do with the actual body?
-
This just in: Trump is asking for Proof of the death certificate,,,,,,,,,,,
-
$2 Bet he got taken out by Canadian Sniper ;) Was in Afghanistan so prob some bunker buster Wonder if he just died of the illnesses he had. They say the body is in US auth hands!
-
Did the boss tell them which way to vote? Maybe their "boss" is Stephen Harper. ;) that was the idea behind the joke! ;D

they think that everyone thinks like them who actually cares if Layton got a BJ in, what? 1996? Damn, they are so out of touch. I really hope Harper goes down south to retire with the Bushs but a short lived one at that - we all know it wont last long. perhaps we should start a new poll "how long till the NEXT election?"
-
and to think this was going to be a boring election! This should be a right down to the wee hrs election. About Layton and Prop Rep - well hes prob not that nut to think this wave will continue when both parties have newer/better leaders - unless he thinks he can own Qc going forward - it would be prob in his best interest to get some kind of Prop Rep. How it would work in terms of seats/votes - well as has been noted above, I believe it has been done in other countries so there must be some kind of system however Canada is a slllllowwwwww to change country for these types of things so I wouldnt bet on it.
