    SPAM EMAILS - not sure who got them

    I was just informed from a friend of mine that he recvd a spam email from my Smazz yahoo account. He said there was nothing in the subject line but that there was a link to a visualipd com and wordpress ext.

     

    I apologize if anyone on this board got that one - if you were in my yahoo address book.

     

    I dont know how they do these spam things but its a yahoo account so im thinking maybe theyve done this to other yahoo accounts.

     

    Yahoo has seemed pretty good at catching spam but...

     

    funny thing is I even got an email from me to me ::)

    Good Luck Winnipegers!  Im sure things will work out just fine!

     

    Having said that,

    Bettman makes me sick!

     

    I couldnt stand watching him today.  He was mentioning all the things Winnipeg HAD to do to solidify the sale yet those same things he was talkin about really didnt seem to be too important to him when the subject is Coyotes.

    I think this good long term for FFH . . . this company is gassed up and ready for the hard market, but with hurricane season coming on the heals of these storms I think we could see another $400M underwritin loss in Q2.

     

    I guess this leads back to the same mental game that has been discussed on this board: that we want to buy FFH in a hard(ening) market, but we think the stock price will go down first due to the losses.

     

    I'm not much at timing, so I bought a little today . . .

     

    Thats been my game plan, but its not working with FFH

    Well, they did take that hit - maybe another coming along - dont think you are wrong because of the multiple someothers are willing to pay or the risk they are willing to accept or maybe not understand.

     

    That is all i will say on that ;)

    I was telling a friend of mine "the only way Vancouver can lose it all is if they beat themselves"

     

    They are too deep - especially on D. So much talent and speed back there.

     

    I hope Luongo gets the credit he deserves. IMO, people just take this guy for granted, like he is expected to have a great game when he does so what?

     

    Werent the Canucks outshot 2-1 at one pt in that game and he had over 50 shots?

    Some people would claim Alberta held hostage the rest of Canada for the last 10 years as well :)

    The United States reached its $14.3 trillion limit on federal borrowing Monday, leaving Congress 11 weeks to raise the threshold or risk a financial panic or another recession.

     

     

    Geithner urged Congress to raise the debt limit "in order to protect the full faith and credit of the United States and avoid catastrophic economic consequences for citizens."

    Republican leaders in the House have said they won't raise the debt limit unless the Obama administration first agrees to big spending cuts or to steps to lower the debt over the long run.

     

    Which way is this baby going to rock?

     

     

    Commodities coming down? Gotta love the free market.

    genuinely hope that this run-up in price was caused by irresponsible speculators and that they lose their shirts over the disconnect between the futures market and the real market.

    I agree however the free market seemed to work for those taking the avg joes hostage. Nothing free about that. Something needs to change there.

    Why such swift action on Silver?  I dont know, commodities are not my gig but you know how much $ has been taken out of the avg working persons wallet by this "free" system?

    I really dont see anything wrong with they this forum is run currently.

     

    People, you have to realize, when you involve yourself in a somewhat open internet forum it isnt like going to a members only club that you have to pay for.

     

    If someone is derailing threads, thats one thing - im sure some of you bring this up with Sanjeev but if its just someones opinion you dont like - especially if it differs from yours, then an open forum is prob not your cup of tea.

     

    Having said that, some posters on here like to write long winded thesis type posts, others like to just put down their thoughts at that particular time - sometimes a combo of both.

     

    Lets try not to take ourselves to seriously ;)

    Who remembers the obvious "short sellers" that were on the board that preceded this one?

     

    Boy, some of you people would have needed therapy if you are around then lol..

     

    having said that, I didnt have any real interest in the LVLT thread because its not on my radar so I obviously missed some entertainment there - going by what ive been reading here.
