  1. Yes, the tax credit still exists, but when Trump threatened tariffs against productions made in Canada, a lot of business went back to the U.S. It's still steady here in terms of productions and shoots, but nothing like the heyday of movies and studio business. It's kind of like the streaming giants filled some of the movie/studio work that left with television productions they developed...so it's stayed sort of even. But fewer big/studio movies are being produced here now. Cheers!
  2. They are being forced to act...which is a good thing! Cheers!
  3. UN Security Council to vote on opening Strait! Cheers! https://www.cnn.com/2026/04/02/world/live-news/iran-war-us-trump-oil-intl-hnk?post-id=cmni0p9yz001v3b6t7kmrad9n
  4. Is the U.S. George Foreman and Iran is Ali? Is that all you got George! Cheers! https://www.cnn.com/2026/04/02/politics/iran-missiles-us-military-strikes-trump
  5. Trump ballroom gets greenlight from Trump-stacked commission: https://www.cnn.com/2026/04/02/politics/trump-ballroom-commission-vote-white-house Winner, winner chicken dinner...keeps on winning and gets what he wants! How? Why? Cheers!
  6. No idea! Not sure why, who prepped him, or if anyone even looked at the speech. Did he wing it, or was this the prepared version. May be the worst Presidential speech in history...in any language! Even Hegseth's speeches aren't as bad. Cheers!
  7. I would say you are 100% correct about this. I haven't been to Iran, but I've been to China and the people there are no different than here...regardless of their government policies. I also saw Anthony Bourdain when he went to Iran, and he said the people he met everywhere were very happy to meet an American, and they were warm, friendly and hospitable...I have no doubt that. It's rarely the average citizen who is the problem. It's usually the government...and in that respect, the Iranian theocracy has been a threat to the Middle East and Western society for some time. Not that the U.S. CIA hasn't done any less exceptionable job with their creative destruction of decency around the world as well! Cheers!
  8. Yeah, I agree! I think Greg sucks! Cheers!
  9. Very cool! Watched it all day yesterday. 3-4% difference in genetic material between us and apes, and we can do this and create AI! Cheers!
  10. He wins either way...it's binary now. If he doesn't get it, that's ok...they fix it, he walks away, oil prices come down, he makes a fortune rebuilding Gaza and the value of the MIddle East/Israel goes through the roof. If he gets it, he tolls ships, US owns an asset as valuable as the Panama Canal, sells weapons to defend and protect, oil prices come down, he makes a fortune rebuilding Gaza and the value of the Middle East/Israel goes through the roof. This he understands better than anyone...he gets his cake for sure, but he'll probably get the icing too! Cheers!
  11. Did you know she's 60? She looks damn good for her age. But she one crazy bit**! So long Pam! Cheers! Bondi leaving the Whitehouse!
  12. Actually you can thank Cubs. He had Pope Leo call me up and say it is Passover, you must free 73Reds to receive the blessings of Christ...plus he'll drive you effing crazy with his emails! So like Trump, I used my power to save myself any misery! Cheers!
  13. Yup! It's already happening. I ordered my groceries for today and you can see large price jumps in a lot of areas. It will continue month after month through the next 12 months unless they settle this in the next few weeks. Very likely prices get somewhat absorbed if they can come to a quick conclusion, but I don't see that happening. The allies work slowly, and it's still at least 2-3 weeks of attacks/bombings. It will be a tight Christmas for many...maybe the worst one since before the Pandemic. At least people had money coming in during the pandemic from government sources...there is nothing going to be paid as people start losing jobs and expenses overrun budgets. If food banks were strained the last two years, this year is going to wipe some out! Cheers!
  14. Yup. Trump will give up his own children to save his ass! He was built for TACO. Cheers!
  15. I don't think they will escalate it...for example, no ground troops. But they will probably take out more key sites and defensive positions with bombs and missiles, to force negotiations between Iran and U.S. allies/Middle Eastern countries, and help clean up the mess once it all ends. If the people who live in the region, or depend on the movement of oil/resources through there, won't fight for it and stand up for it once all the dirty work is done...well that says alot! And Trump has already taken all of the blame (and rightfully so, as he did it essentially unilaterally). Cheers!
  16. That's probably right...Buffett knows the most, Trump knows the least! Cheers!
  17. I'm not trading much at all other than one trading account. I've put a lot of permanent capital into stuff that I plan on holding long-term in the non-trading accounts. Yeah, there's volatility and markets could fall more if things get worse, but you just keep selling the more expensive stuff and buy cheaper quality stuff...as long as you aren't paying a lot of built-up capital gains. Markets will eventually bottom and they will turn. Cheers!
  18. The U.S. isn't going to run out of water. The U.S. isn't going to run out of food. Also highly unlikely there will an uprising to create a regime change in the U.S., but with no food and water...well! Look at Cuba...won't be long before the citizens there will take a deal like Venezuela. Cheers!
  19. Exactly! Cheers!
  20. Again, you are making the same mistake as others and discounting how he won...not once, but twice! And the time he lost, he didn't lose by that much. That has to mean something or say something...everyone cannot be in the mob mentality or are stupid. Cheers!
  21. Problem is, he considers a loss a "win" regardless. I don't think he's ever said once that he lost at something or isn't the best at something. And if it's clearly obvious he lost, he usually blames someone else for the loss...never, ever been his fault. God, he must have been one spoiled son of a bitch as a kid! Cheers!
  22. Well, he did kind of TACO again...just no off ramp and the freeway is only moving on the carpool lane! Cheers!
  23. You're essentially right. But if you do not rely on the restricted source, have enough domestic and neighbor production to avoid your own shortage, who is going to suffer more than you? Most likely the countries that needed that Strait opened yesterday, as well as Iran since they cannot sell their oil to anyone. Pain for the U.S....yes...pain for the world...yes...but U.S. probably will have it slightly easier than most others and Trump thinks he'll outlast them. Cheers!
  24. No, Greg is not anywhere near Cubs-ville. He's a pragmatist...whatever makes money and buys him more Pappy! If Biden made him more money, he'd be fine supporting him. Cubs and Ourkid8 are more aligned: Cubs: That's not the moon, that's a piece of cheese! Ourkid8: Yes, that's Cheese that the Zionists are selling to poor Iranians! Cubs: Iranians that want to blow up the moon...so there's no cheese for anyone! Ourkid8: That's propaganda by the those that eat the most cheese! Cubs: Trump is just protecting American cheese! Ourkid8: American cheese? Not even halal or kosher! Cheers!
  25. He's sinisterly street smart...not intelligent. For someone who went to Wharton, he must have gotten in on a DEI application suffering from bone spurs. And if he is just a drunk spilling his drink, he's probably one of the luckiest drunks in history! To keep discounting him has been everyone's folly...especially the Democrats! This is like 150 years ago...when politics ran through Tammany Hall and leaders were these boorish, loud, assholes who used fear tactics around immigrants to get votes and were corrupt politicians. They would do whatever it would take! Trump is a throwback to those assholes. Cheers!
