You got to the same conclusion above, as I did earlier. I think it was in connection with the 2016 US Presidential Election that I learned that talking about such stuff makes CofB&F go crazy, .... it almost explodes when it happens. - It's just such a no-go! . Same goes with totally no-go 'gl**al wa**ing'! - - - o 0 o - - - Now there are shades to everything, and nuances ..., - i.e. POTUS is now becoming an environmentalist, you see, wind turbines kills US birds, and off-shore wind is an absolutely no-go, because they are making so much noise, so that all those poor whales living in surrounding waters haven't any arms with hands to hold for their ears, so they get so distracted that they strand!

I found the story by one of the men with facial characterics extremely similar to Putins highly entertaining on a leisure Sunday, that one of the material privileges based on that fact was that no police officer ever dared issuing parking or speeding tickets to him! -Just after, I - fighting hard to be able to breath reasonably again, the Lady of the House passes by me, asking : 'Why are you laughting so hard?', me explaining why, and then I can't stop laughing again, she walks away from me again, shaking her head over the hubby, she likely thinking 'How did I even happen to get away with such specimen of a man?' - 12/10 -

The above post by @Cod Liver Oil is to me actually for a long time span here on CofB&F, the best post according to me best recolllection. It is the carrier, conveyor, bearer and proponent for what is the essense of CofB&F and the dynamics of having CofB&F running constantly the right way, because of a very special guy living in Vancouver, BC, Canada, which stamina, perseverance and patience with us all, now on third decade, still never giving up on keeping us connected. The art here is to get stimulated by input from others with different perceptions, approaches, here, to cause critical thinking, to evolve and to get better in our shared and common non-zero game, in stead of here engaging into digging digital trenches and participation in keyboard quarrels, not just to call them keyboard wars. - - - o 0 o - - - This evening, I'm personally watching a documentary transmission on Danish TV Channel TV2 about the life of late singer Sinead O'Connor, who passed away in 2023, may she rest in peace. She basically spent most of her life fighting against anybody trying to call her anything, placing her in any kind of booth! - - - o 0 o - - - Alone the exchanges in this topic and other places here on CofB&F has already caused me to decide, that in this autumn, the Danish summer is coming to an end, next autumn to start soon, that I will allocate, likely, a material part of my time, in this autumn, to look again closer - and not for the first time, certainly, -on Exor and the Bolloré Galaxy, and also on Fairfax, that never ended up to take place in the beginning of this year, because of real life issues demanding my attention.

@Cod Liver Oil and all other fellow CofB&F members active in this topic, I think this topic as such and the exchanges, back and forth, and discussions going on in this topic are very good, stimulating absolutely worth as basis for food for thought. What is fascinating is that we live in world today, where there is something alvailable to invest in for about every taste, style and temper. We just need to decide, find out in our selves, and search & find, with great inspiration available already here on CofB&F. With regard to European members, as mentioned above by @Cod Liver Oil, about European board members, I'll mention the board members Jurgis and rb, who both have left and moved on, and now inactive, both leaving without slamming with the door CofB&B-wise, by disabling or closing / deleting their accounts [which creates non-searchable and orhan posts, like physical objects in the Kuyper Belt] like unfortunatrely many others have done, in the database tables of CofB&F]. Both with Eastern European backgrounds [Jurgis living then in Boston MA, USA, from one of the Baltic States, I think it was Estonia, rb living then in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, from Romania]. I still miss them today here and their deep and wide knowledge about European businesses they have shared here. Maybe, - maybe some day, we'll see them get back here! About European companies being considered perhaps exotic for North American [I include Canadian, too] investors, at least to me, it only natural to me, when there is access to wealth of interesting stuff already in that part of America on the Western side of the Atlantic Ocean. Furthermore, that US PFIC thingy likely in some cases is considered a showstopper for many, and for a good reason to avoid buying into problems. [I think this US tax rule is absolutely crazy, actually.]

He is missing a cross band over his right shoulder and across his chest down left to his left side, going back up again to the right shoulder over his back, but there is no space available for it! lol! In Danish a term for all such stuff in a metaphoric meaning is the word 'sildesalat' [translated to English by 'herring salad'], metaphorical use for 'large quantities of military decorations, orders', or 'a disorderly jumble of things'. lol!

What happened back then of total destruction and human straight out madness - not only in Europe, must never, never ever, be let to happen again, or to be repeated anywhere in the Western, civilized hemisphere. POTUS is and has been perhaps a bit naive here, but the seven European leaders visiting the White House Monday are for sure totally and absolutely naive morons, dumber than any door! [<- @gfp, new thingy for you?] Burning so much fuels and time of on something, that had absolutely no apriori chance of success because of not even the tiniest tangible sign of Russian flexibility and Russia being forthcoming here in the situation. Mark Rutte is simply the worst of them! Secretary General of NATO [mind you, NATO is actually about a military alliance, not some club for female seniors sharing their erousing interests for knitting!], and he does not even understand one whit of what he's dealing with here?! Russian warfare at its best : Smoke and mirrors, KGB style, false beards, sunglasses with blue glass, lies and deceptions, propaganda, not expressing things trustworthy, sincere and honestly as they are, long Burberry coats and elegant deflections and evations, all because it's just 'a part of 'the game'' KGB style! ... The organically, out of nothing, selfgrown 'coalition of the willings' is the way to go. Together, they certainly have the capabilites to give Putin a lesson he'll never gorget. Thank you, @Sweet, I have a perception of some of our fellow CofB&F members living on the Western side of the Atlantic pond has a perception of Europe as a row of countries, that can't find out at all or are able, to do something rational and effectful in this severe situation in cooperation. EU is a lame duck in the situation because of interpartes veto rights, NATO is a lame duck, because POTUS thinks he can solve it. - - - o 0 o - - - Today, I've seen and heard Lavrov talking on television about that any peace arrangements as a condition from Russia have to take basis in a Russian draft from 2022 for a peaceful solution on the whole calamity, including detailed regulation of how security guaranties issued for Ukraine should be regulated and work as a mechanism. Mind you, in that draft Russia in specifically mentioned and specified as a security guarantor! [Nobody can make up such sh*t!, lol!] and to act in cooperation among the guarantors, in all matters, unanimous votes among the guarantors is needed! [Now I'm almost soiling my underwear! lol!]
