  1. This thread is brutally funny. She deserves to go to prison.
  2. This is a poor analogy. The creation of the Nazis was a reaction to the Versailles treaty. US Foreign policy has DIRECTLY caused the growth of Islamic extremism by using islamic extremists as a strategic and tactical tool. More importantly it continues to this day. My guess is that you just don't know the depth of this collaboration.
  3. Yes, the US is partly responsible for the terrorism in Kashmir and to a lesser extent the other two. Both by supporting and arming Pakistan along with the Mujahideen against the Soviets, some of whom later moved on to jihad in Kashmir. There is no denying the fact that the US has played a role in formenting Islamic extremism. Mainly by backing Saudi Arabia (whom you refer to as an ally) which has been funding radical movements all over the world, from Philippines to Bosnia. Actually, if you consider Saudi Arabia to be an ally and worthy of support, you're also party to this radical ideology.
  4. The problem with your argument is that it's not the people in the terrible parts of town that desire to be gun owners, nor are they the most vocal about 2A rights. It's people in rural areas that are politically conservative that are most likely to be vocal in this issue. It is not solely a utilitarian or safety issue, but the simple fact that some people just like guns and view it as a fundamental right. Not an existential battle to survive. Privileged people also want guns!
  5. Can any of Trump's supporters tell me why a judge of Mexican descent cannot do his job?
  6. Why does Trump hate Mexicans? A federal judge can't do his job because he is of Mexican origin? If a conflict of interest exists, (I don't think it does) it is because Trump created it.
  7. He eats like that all the time, it's pretty well known by those around him. I was at a meeting a few years ago with Susie Buffett. She talked about her dad's diet. It was fascinating. "I've never seen my dad drink a glass of water. I've never seen him eat a vegetable other than french fries or sometimes corn. I've never seen him eat fruit other than banana pie. He knows exactly how many calories he can consume a day. My dad eats exactly what he wants. His typical dinner at home is a ham sandwich and a bowl of ice cream. He used to try to motivate us kids to lose weight by offering us cash per pounds." So, he's a fat shamer?
  8. "Mr. Warren, you have routinely criticized the compensation policies of hedge fund and private equity managers. However, when you ran the Buffett partnerships you used a similar compensation structure. Why the change of mind?"
  9. Looks like Saudi Arabia's plan is working well. Oil is rising, marginal players are going out of business, and they've actually raised production.
  10. It's not just giofranchi though. A few pages ago, critical comments about Ms. Holmes were dismissed by posters as driven by jealousy over seeing a talented woman do well. Somehow those voices are silent now.
  11. I think both are still in their home offices.
  12. I don't agree, and even if I did, are we to convict them for crimes they might commit? Maybe we need to stop expecting our elected leaders to be role models and paragons of virtue and instead focus on what effects they can wield with policy. First of all, it is not proven that he lied under oath. Secondly, even if he did lie, I do not consider it a serious matter because the topic he lied about was not a serious matter.
  13. The topic of the lie does impact his legacy as president. He was not convicted of this federal crime because the Senate either didn't believe enough evidence existed or didn't believe the charges were serious enough. Furthermore, it is not even all that clear that he lied. The "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" comment was not made under oath. Under oath, he denied having a current relationship, which was correct. This is why it is significant that he was not convicted of the crime, and is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Even if he lied, why should 330M Americans care that he lied about his extramarital activities? Why is that significant enough to overshadow his entire presidency?
  14. Actually, perjury is not a serious crime and is rarely prosecuted. Plus, given the topic he was lying about, should we as citizens really care? Personally, I think whether a President is good or bad is decided by his use of policy to achieve the American public's interest, and only that.
  15. You need to catch up on history if you don't think China and Russia have behaved like this before. And if you mean the bolded, you are one crazy mofo. I would love a third Obama term. The American people should thank God that they were lucky enough to have Obama as their president and be building statues of him everywhere. If they can fund it by raising taxes, even better! YES! Better yet I think we should enslave a bunch of israelites to build a giant pyramid, the largest the world has ever known, to serve as his final resting place for when he passes on to take his place next to Osiris someday. All hail the mighty Obama, drone killer of many children, he who calls forth death from the skies! See! Somebody gets it! That said I thought Obama was a supporter of Isis, not Osiris? Whatever, it's all the same, damn ancient Egyptians hated us for our freedoms!
  16. Early March loaded up on PAGP, OKE, and TRGP. OKE has been awesome.

  18. Perhaps it is and Obama doesn't recognize it. You realize that Obama's foreign policy neatly lines up with Donald Trump's worldview especially when it comes to relations with allies? Is that supposed to be a favorable fact for Trump or an indictment of Obama? It works both ways depending upon where you stand on the Republican nominee.
