From one Fed chair to another.

Check out the new PFP. Of course @Spekulatius was the inspiration.

How about you guys give us Alberta? In exchange, we won’t punish you for all the fentanyl Canada sent across our border. Now that a fair deal.

"But Trump is just kind of on a farewell tour. Take a look here. He's endorsing Jake Paul for political office. And you really have to think to yourself, we do deserve everything we get as a country." - Tim Dillon, 2026

If you want good economic content, I think Kyla Scanlon is brilliant: Kyla's Newsletter | Substack I've seen a lot of her pieces in the various financial publications, and it's safe to say I agree with a lot of what she says. I think her perspective is important because she's both extremely intelligent in economics as well as only 29 years old. I don't think you find many young people that know what they're talking about like this.

I was complaining about politicians yesterday, as I often do, when someone asked me an interesting question. They asked me who my favorite politicians were, currently serving that is. I honestly couldn't think of a good answer. Where do good ones come from? Whose fault is it that most of them today seem bad? Is it my fault that I don't focus on the possible upcoming good ones? It seems to me that I have deep disagreements with essentially all of them, and it often comes down to who I dislike less. Why? Is it their fault for acting this way, or is it society's fault for letting them rise to power?

I think your description is actually quite accurate lol.

He's simply another demagogue.

Curate your goddamn news people. If you get your entire worldview from Fox News, MSNBC, or all these dog poop social media platforms, you can take it to the bank that your brain will be cooked in no time.

I would like to say again that The Economist is the best publication I read. The situation with Hormuz seems really bad: The Economist: Can America clear the Strait of Hormuz of Iran’s drones and mines? The Economist: Donald Trump’s options to cool oil prices are sorely limited

I would like to say @cubsfan has always been nice to me, even though we disagree quite a bit on most things. I don't think we disagree on Newsom though I think.

@73 Reds, where do you get your news?

It's the Department of War now libtard.

We will survive. But just like our great commander-in-chief, some who even say is the greatest, America seems as arrogant as it gets right now. As Trump might say, I don't know if we have the cards.

Just a reminder, the United States is still a net importer of crude oil. We're only a net exporter when you also consider NGLs, renewable fuels, etc: EIA: Weekly Petroleum Status Report

Here's the face of the mentally stable prosecutor currently going after Powell: This very stupid lady has no idea of the fire that she is playing with. She was appointed by none other than Donald Trump.

Our country is in desperate need of moral and competent politicians. I unfortunately don't see this happening any time soon.

Maybe you misinterpret me Greg. I'm not a socialist. I think Gavin Newsom, as well as a lot of these other Democrat politicians, are some of the biggest goofballs on Earth. I mean Pritzker and Newsom at the top of the ticket? Those guys are both complete disasters! California and Illinois have some of the dumbest state policies and most poorly structured systems in the United States. Look at Illinois's pension situation. Look at California's energy problems. It's completely ridiculous. But I think Donald Trump is worse. He is vile in just about every way that's humanly possible. He is also a financial moron who has left bankrupt almost everything that he's ever touched. He's a corrupt liar who divides our nation in half, and creates an enormous amount of discord among the populace. His economic policies are almost all completely insane. He approaches real, important issues with the problem solving skills of a special needs monkey. I'll give you this: I strongly believe that Republicans have far better managed at the state level. I really do believe that. There's actually a really good NYT article that was posted the other day on it. Here it is: NYT: What Happens When One Party Monopolizes Competence? But the Republican Party at the national level is a complete fucking clown show. These people are almost all mindless conspiracy theorists, whose only point in life it seems is voting for tax cuts. The party of fiscal responsibility my ass. And Trump owns each and every single one of them. There's not a single original thought amongst those Congressmen outside of maybe Paul and Massie. Try and have a different view than our monkey-brained moron president? He comes after your ass with everything. And since the rich have an enormous pull on politics these days, Trump has accumulated a lot of money to work with. And this has been going on for some time. Now our Republican controlled Congress is full of nothing but spineless, useless, mentally disturbed sycophants. I think that a lot of our current problems stem from the fact that the rich have effectively weaponized government. And maybe some of you think that's okay because you've made some money from it. I'm sure this is a pretty rich board after all. But just you wait until the poor figure out how to weaponize government. These easily manipulated MAGA fools think a lot more like socialists than many think.
