I missed part of the CC because I was listening to another tankies (Sandridge). did they comment on the power generation agreement? It's coming online 11 or 12?

so the nbsk inventory build up is done on purpose for inventory control. rbk continues to suck - at least the company admit it needs a turn around. 2 callers - the first one is from a investor group - u can tell they are not that shareholder friendly.
  3. The realized oil price is lower than I thought. Hopefully, TW will tell us why and it's some sort of temporary thing. The slides are up.
  4. the conversion price is $7.76. ~34% above today's close. I don't like the dilution as well - but it helps accelerate the oil production. It reduces some upside (10%). I think part of the selling has to do with CFO quitting. But if there is a problem, the CFO won't quit now instead of YE.
  5. 250millions is not much compared to their capital structure. They increase their capex by similar amount - make sense when you can get 50%-100% returns. I am reading the PR to see if I missed anything. Look likes they want to go 100% oil and NGL.
  6. down 10% AH. ??? Revenue missed (or analysts didn't do a good job of forecasting), kitchen sink charges. I like what I see. Added some AH.

Their pdf looks better than previous ones. All in all, a solid quarter. Good to see them focus on turning RBK around.
  8. I was just looking into ways to cut down my capital gain taxes for my in-laws. They lived in Canada now. If they run their stock accounts like a business or set it up as a fund, etc.. will they be able to keep more of the gain and only paid taxes if I decide to liquidate the fund? I may do it for mine too, but mine is very small so it's not a big deal.
  9. Have anyone tried that before? What're the pros and cons of doing that? Any advises will be greatly appreciated?

I think Cfx-un.to will be out today. Doesn't have the time to check it yet.

Hope we will have a chance to "trade" or "hedge" soon. The problem with me is I see the IV so much higher for this one that I don't see a "trading" point any more after the right offering.

I think that's called Trading not Hedging. ;)
  13. CHK: I just went through the latest presentation. It's a 180 pages presentation, have lots of good information on it. The last few pages were the goodies. I now agree if you believe the NG story, CHK is THE stock to own. They do have lots of valuable assets to cover their debts and I don't see them having any near to medium term problem with it anyway. I know the margin call story about the CEO, but what else did he do to justify such a low pps? Is it mainly the NG price? But the market seems to give more value to other NG plays than this.

But as discussed before, their two biggest costs for them are Eastern wood chip and waste paper. Anyone has a accurate source on their pricing? I don't. Last I heard was wood chip is coming down but waste paper price is going up. At current pricing, at least the company is making money - just not its owners YET. It COMPLETELY missed out the rally. Compare to other cos in the same sector, FBK pps is lagging by 40%+ after the right offering announcement! May-12 Current Percent SFK 1.58 1 -36.71% CFX 16.18 15.85 -2.04% MERC 4.58 5.33 16.38% TMB 2.35 2.35 0.00% UFS 70.41 74.61 5.97% Average PPS change: 5.08% Disclosure: I have been adding. ???

the soaring loonie won't help the #s but with everything else flying, this one is very cheap. SIGH!

  18. I think it will be good for the banks. Why try to liquidate something in a depressed market.
  19. >>Who has that helped really, to keep rates close to 0% for so long? The banks.
